Like A Surgeon isn't in the vocal range of Madonna. Nor is GJWHL. ;)

And both of those lead onto my next point (Yay, segue!); Al's fantastic at choosing subjects to parody; The heads of Scotti Bros. were hesitant to have LAS as the lead single, and demanded a Cindy Lauper parody on the album. Now, 23 years later, Madonna is still making albums and touring, where Cindy Lauper is... um... doing something, that's for sure. :lookaround:

This is like Miley Montana; I don't really think that she's still going to be as popular as she is now in a year or two. I mean, who hears of Hilary Duff anymore? The Olsen Twins? I haven't heard anything about them in ages. (Well, actually, that's not true. I heard 'em not that long ago, and they were going on about how "big it [was]" and stuff like that. )

Uh, where was I? Oh, yeah. See, the important thing was, was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. We didn't have any red onions, because of the war, so all we had were those big brown ones...

 The Simpsons is awesome!

I think that even if Hannah Cyrus wasn't popular anymore, she still made lots of people like/hate her a lot this year, and people would still remember her next year and like the parody. But the polka would be really funny too, I would like that better.

I'm pretty sure he'll parody/polkafy at least one Disney "artist".

Didn't they kill the Joker?

What....too soon? :lookaround:

The only reason for him to parody anyone in that scene (And I include Katy Perry because she's just as novelty as the Hannah and Jonases of the world), it's because he's desperate for a hit, no other reason. Last I checked, Al isn't all that desperate.

I don't think Al would parody a Disney star, and if he did, he wouldn't make it about how "horrible" they are. I think Al has a lot more class and respect for his fellow artists than that. Just because it's what you want, doesn't mean it's going to happen. I, personally, would like to see Al do a parody of Barry Manilow or Cher, but that's probably never going to happen.

I agree with that statement. Al had his first top ten single and album ever with W&N & SOL. I don't think he's going to be desperate for the 13th album. There are plenty of artists out there besides the Disney artists.

Um He made one about how horrible Billy ray Cyrus's song was. So he does do that. It's al decision I don't see why people need to kill them selfs over it. Besides Miley is a good friend of mine. I have met her sister and talk to Miley and her sister almost every day. Miley's sister lives part time near me.

Al was saying that the song "Achy Breaky Heart" was awful. He wasn't saying Billy Ray Cyrus is awful. Al makes fun of how bad songs are, but I don't think he would ever say a human being is awful in one of his songs.

I would not consider "Achy Breaky Song" to be a hate song against Billy Ray Cyrus nor "Achy Breaky Song". Al doesn't parody songs unless he likes them. He wouldn't want to parody a song and then deal with it over and over in concert.
Achy Breaky Song is poking at a generic unnamed "bad song", not Achy Breaky Heart itself.

That's how I see it.

(Then again, as JEDM pointed out to me, Al does say "I just can't take no more of Billy Ray"... but I still think that it doesn't mean Al is actually mad at anything. The narrator is obviously over reacting, so it's all fun.)

That all being said, he wouldn't do a song about how horrible those artists are because it's shooting fish in a barrel. They're easy targets.

That's one of the many things that seperates Al from morning zoo hacks

More Rock... and I'd like to see him parody 1970s prog rock like ELP or Jethro Tull and other classic styles.. like CSNY (That would be awesome with his sense of close harmonies) or.. even better still something *mindblowing* like The Doors, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Janis or Jimi, Bo Diddley, Greatful Dead. etc

I'd love to hear Al do a take on ANY song from "Grease".
