I'm hoping my dad will be able to find it in Grande Prairie tomorrow. NO ONE in town had it. Grr.
I was really looking forward to picking up this set the day it came out, and of course, I couldn't find it. So I am asking any Canadian who bought this DVD set from a store, where and what store was it? Come on, help out us fellow Canadians!

Got the WAS today from Amazon.com! Woot!

Perhaps it is a dumbed down version of Al, but my five year old son absolutely loved it. He was glued to the TV for the entire Disc One and wanted to watch the other two, but I didn't want him to be a couch potato.

So at least it still works for its target audience. (I enjoyed it too.) :)

I would love to buy the DVD, but I have a question. I hope this is the appropriate place...

What exactly would Madame Judy the Psychic do? How many episodes did she appear in? What kind of "advice" did she give? Or was she more of a mockery of psychics like "Your Horoscope For Today" was to horoscopes? Chances are if she was a main character, this release is off-limits for me :/

I really want to get it for Christmas.

Madame Judy was in a lot of episodes. Basically she's a non-psychic who pretends to be a psychic and uses her "powers" to predict the present.

Madam Judy is definitely makes a mockery of psychics. Bascially she repeats blatantly obvious information as her predictions. There's no occultism going on here. For example she smells Al's hand and reveals that he recently ran out of hand cream. The show makes it pretty clear that she's a phoney.

In one of the first episodes she shows Al one of her psychic hotline commercials as an example and advises him to use infomercials as a way to make a quick buck. He follows her advice with disasterous results.

I love that too. Especially since it reminds me of an inside joke between my friends and I.

I thought it was funny when Al said that Emo had to disrobe every time he did his voiceover, because he moved around so much while talking, the mic would pick up the sound of his shirt. Then, Al said something about Emo pressing his man-nipples against the glass in the sound booth.

I've only watched the first disc so far, but I'm lovin' the commentaries!
