Yeah, that's mainly why I've never seen the whole show. It's on too early. Note that I had to edit my original post, because the show is on Bravo, and I had originally put A&E.

Insomniacs rejoice, UHF is airing at 2 AM Eastern (for non-eastern couch potatos, check your local listings) on comedy Central.
Fun for those who enjoy a change of pace from their nifty dvd's by being frequently interrupted by commercials about low quality programs ("the ones you just can't get for free"), unnecessary (when compared to South Park) cencoring, and something to do while you try to break the Guiness record of "longest time awake".

Ronn Owens, on KGO AM 810 news talk was interviewing someone about the online giants Amazon, Paypal, Google & Ebay, and I was delighted to hear him play Al's eBay as a bumper. He let is play for a fairly long time and said "ya gotta love "big" Al. 'Weird Al' Yankovic."

(Ronn knows Al's correct name, he was just having some fun. Ronn
has had Al on many times in the past and Ronn even mentioned him one of his website as one of his favorite guests. As you can tell, Ronn is a very discerning man with impeccible taste in music and people. :Y )

****Sorry, dumb me...I think I put this under the wrong topic. It probably doesn't belong under VCR alerts. Sorry :S *****

Just to let everyone know, "The eBay Effect: Inside a Worldwide Obsession" will be rerun on CNBC throughout the next couple of days. This is that eBay documentary that opens with clips of Al performing at eBay Live.

Set your VCRs!

July 1 - 8PM, 11PM
July 3 - 8PM, 11PM
July 4 - 3AM, 8AM, 1PM

I don't know how reliable CNBC's schedule is, so if you wait for the later airings you do so at your own peril.

Yes, they are Eastern.

See for yourself

Thanks, Greg! I'm glad they're showing it again, because I was kinda bummed that I missed it.

Yes, sorry I didn't make that clear. I'm so used to a time in which all cable schedules were inherently Eastern.

It's just a two-minute clip, starting with CEO Meg Whitman introducing Al at eBay Live. Al's song continues in the background under clips of various talk show hosts and politicians making references to the auction site.

The rest of the documentary is all right at best. They only briefly touch upon some of the problems and critiques the site has faced in recent years (no doubt to avoid eBay pulling its participation from the program), so in the end it's a sort of wishy-washy, whitewashed history of the site.
