PS: Here's what Al said in the commentary of Ebert's review:
"I did not record a single laugh during the running time of the film, and although I admittedly saw the movie at a press screening and not on a Saturday matinee at the multiplex in the mall, I wonder how many laughs there will be when the movie does go public. It's routine, predictable, and dumb - real dumb.'
People suck.

Not much revealed on that page, but that site has a lot of really good stuff, so I'm looking forward to see what they have up their sleeves.

I saw UHF on VH1 Classic the other night, and I noticed something interesting: although VH1 cut a few superfluous scenes for time, they didn't butcher any of the remaining scenes for content. When Comedy Central used to air UHF in the '90s, they'd re-cut a few scenes to remove such "violent" shots as the poodles falling, the blood coming from Emo's hand and the library kid being sliced in half. VH1 didn't do any of that kind of ridiculous, arbitrary "won't someone please think of the children" censorship...WITH ONE EXCEPTION!!!
There is ONE WORD in UHF that they felt the need to censor, and replace with another word: "poop." When Stanley said "This is good watermel...tastes like poop," VH1 replaced the word "poop" with the word "corn." And they take the recording of the word "corn" from Stanley's next sentence, "I'm gonna eat some corn flakes."
So suddenly Stanley is saying "This is good watermel...tastes like corn. I'm gonna eat some corn flakes."
Arguably, this makes it even funnier. Your thoughts?

I don't know... I think "poop" is funnier.

Poop is a funny word for sure, but "corn" adds a level of redundancy. Stanley rejects the watermelon because it tastes like corn, so what does he grab instead? CORN FLAKES!

Yeah, it's kind of funny, I guess.
But I guess perhaps one might wonder why he doesn't like the watermelon if it tastes like corn.
Perhaps...making it funnier..that it was corn flakes..after..

Heh, that is pretty funny. I do wonder what edits they'd make to the movie if they showed it here on British TV.
