Its looking that way. Ill hopefully take a few days out to see friends in Hollywood and I'd like to catch Comedy Death Ray at UCB, hopefully meet Scott Aukerman then come down for the concert. Have to entertain myself this time as people are working etc

A young actor that was on Al's Brain has been nominated for a Young Artist Award

Too bad they could not get the name of the actual project correct. Apparently Al sent the kid a congrats note, too.

I thought he was 'taken away' for his stupid questions. Is this posthumous recognition?

Now now, there's no proof he was KILLED. Probably just put to work elsewhere in the fair, making corn dogs...out of HIMSELF!!!

I just dropped off my photo for the competition at the OC Fair, and it looks like they moved Al's Brain to a different location. This time, it's literally right next to the green gate! I mean, it's really right next to the entrance. They aren't messing around this year- you can see it from Fairview Dr as you drive past it.

They changed the layout a bit from last year- I like this way better. Instead of the cattle-call waiting room with all of cool exhibits/posters, you wait outside where there's a couple tv screens. Then you basically go straight into the theatre. After the movie, THEN you get to see all exhibits and take all the time you want with 90% of the crowd just leaving straight away. It's much easier to actually look at everything, instead of being crammed into the room and only being able to see what's directly nearby. The merch table is also inside where the exhibit stuff is now. This layout makes much more sense.

I thought it made more sense too. And at least they do have the video screens up where you wait in line so you can watch the educational film about zombies and ice cream and decaptitated mothers, and the brain-on-a-night-out video.
