I saw that, too, Bobbi. I'm glad you're getting anotehr chance to watch it. One question: could you find anything about Amazing Stories on that site? I had no luck.

I did find, not only info on Amazing Stories, but an episode synopsis:

Miss Stardust
Story: Richard Matheson
Teleplay: Thomas Szollosi, Richard Matheson
Director: Tobe Hooper

Public-relations man Joe Willoughby thinks that promoting the Miss Stardust beauty pageant will be a snap, until "Cabbage Man," a representative from outer space, arrives and contends he owns the rights to the title and threatens to eliminate Earth unless he gets some satisfaction. Based on the Matheson short story published in the Spring 1955 issue of Startling Stories. Tobe Hooper is the legendary horror director of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Poltergeist and an edition of the SCI FI Pictures miniseries Steven Spielberg Presents Taken. (Original Airdate: April 10, 1987)

Dick Shawn (Joe Willoughby), "Weird Al" Yankovic (Cabbage Man), Laraine Newman (Miss Schroedinger), Rick Overton (John Aubrey), Jack Carter (John Bluthener / Emcee), Angel Tompkins (Mia Grassblood), Wendy Sherwood (Ms. Colorado), James Karen (Richard Whelan / Judge), Gabe Cohen (Mendelheim), Jim Siedow (Totzke), Wade Mayer (Stage Manager), Norman Friedman (Man), Anthony James (Businessman #1), Robert Kim (Businessman #2), Lisabeth Aubrey (Beauty #1)

I wonder if it was during the filming of this that Al and Laraine Newman dated?

Hmm, well, I don't know how you found that. I went to that site and couldn't figure it out. Thanks for finding that! As far as Al datiing Laraine back when this was filmed, it could be true.

I wasn't talking about not being able to find the episode info. I was talking about not being able to find the info about the series when I went to the site before. But thanks for telling me that, Manda.

Well, I first found it last night... I think I clicked the link for all shows and went from there. Actually finding the scheduled ep was more of a challenge.

I must've been blind when I went there, then! I didn't see anything about the series.

Anyone who missed More than Music on Bravo gets another chance to see it on Saturday morning at 6:30 am EDT. The show is about Madonna and Like a Virgin. Al talks about her song, not his, IIRC. I saw only part of it a long time ago, so I might try to tune by, if I'm awake at that hour.
