I just got the DVD in the mail this morning after pre-ordering from the Mothership weeks ago, and have gotten through 1 1/2 discs since. I've seen each episode at least once before thanks to Jace, but haven't seen them in a long time. Don't know why, they must have just gotten "old". But I've watched about half the episodes with the commentary, and they are some of the best DVD commentaries I've ever heard. I think the episodes are funny and entertaining by themselves, but that's probably because I'm a diehard fan and am in tune with the style of humor and running jokes. I honestly don't know if I would feel the same way if I wasn't. I never thought anything of it when Al says in 'The Competition' "Hey Harvery, want a bite of my enchilada?" until Al brought up the food-porn thing.

Such a dirty mind, that man.

But I think my most favorite part of the regular show is in "Talent Show" in the weather segment on TV. "THERE'S NOTHING THERE!!!! AUUGHUHGH---!!!" Cracks me up every single time.

How come they is such a hunger for The WAS but not ALTV? There were so many posts on this website about it and others, but not Al-TV, even though AL-TV is much much better. I think we should try to get it on DVD, I know lots on this forum want it.

Ooh, I would LOVE an AL-TV DVD. Maybe that can be our next goal, since TWAS is out now.

A good idea, and I'm all for it. Although we'd probably not get it out any time soon... considering this was a pretty major and fan-oriented release for Al, and of course with the album and tour coming up soon... but who knows. Us Al fans can do a lot.

Should we make a new post, there seems to be a demand for it.

That's a good idea, ducttapeearth. (And I'd definitely lend a hand in petitions or whatever to get an AL-TV DVD release.)

I would love to see an Al TV dvd, but I think the best we could hope for would be a "Best Of" release. And then maybe if it sold well they would do a complete release, but it just seems unlikely.

Well, I just finished all of the commentaries with the episodes. I just love the commentaries. Easily my favorite part.
Though, I heard problems with the Competition episode. The sound for that episode was fine for me...unless I play it with commentary. The commentary sounds fine, but you can tell the sound isn't synching with the episode in the background. You hear the words before they are said. It's really strange.

That's happening on every set, so I wouldn't worry about it
