Welcome Survivors to the Final Tribal Council!
Due to the fact that we can't get our schedules to meet, we will be holding the tribal council here in the gameplay thread instead of in the chat room.
Here's how it will work.
Akrovak and BigDogz2500 will make opening statements about why they both deserve to win. As soon as both of them make their statements, our 7 active jury members can either ask a question to both (Or a different question for both contestants) or make a speech (Speeches obviously don't have to be answered). Anyone can ask at any time, you will not have to follow a specific order......but you only have one post to make your point.
The jury:
Kayy911
twinkieweinersandwiches24-7
queen_and_weirdal_fan
weirdstef
stupidhippie
samuraisumo
MarlinsGirl
Akrovak and BigDogz can answer questions whenever they want. They can answer them as soon as they are asked, or wait until the deadline and answer them all at once.
Questions (Or speeches) are due by Friday at 8pm est. If you do not ask a question by then, you will not get to ask one.
Answers are due by Saturday at 8pm est. You may not vote until all questions are answered! I will make a post signifying when you can vote!
Votes (Sent to Driew La 27) are due by Monday at 8pm est. The decision at 8pm est on Monday will be final, so if you haven't voted and are unhappy with the result, unfortunatly, there'll be nothing else that can be done.
Obviously, if things all happen before Monday, I will announce the winner asap
EVERYTHING (except the votes of course) will take place in the gameplay thread.
Oh.......and one more thing....
Just so everyone knows, there's one more twist coming! (Yeah, you heard me!) It will be activated after the questions are asked, at which time, Akrovak and BigDogz will be the only ones notified of the twist!

Opening Statement
Why should you vote for me?
Did I outplay? No, not everyone, at least not as far as the challenges went. But I think I contributed quite a bit to the tribe pre-merge, and after the merge I was able to come thru when it seemed to matter.
Did I outwit? Throughout the game, I stayed true to my alliance, I did not lie to anyone (although I guess some could see the "rivarly" with sumo as a lie ... I see it as part of the game, and I didn't even contribute all that much to it), and I tried my best to get here. Not sure if that is outwitting or not, but it seemed to work.
Did I outlast? That all depends on how this last vote goes.
I believe I played an honorable game, and I also believe none of the votes I cast were votes against a particular person (per se), just an obstacle that needed to be overcome to reach a goal. To that end, I hope you, the jury members (all of whom are great people and very worthy competitors), don't see being voted out as something personal ... just part of the game (we knew coming in that 13 of us were not going to be the Sole Survivor).
I am looking forward to your questions, and I will answer them as completely and honestly as possible. At this point in the game, I have no control over the vote ... it lies in your hands. With that said, I am prepared to answer any questions you have that will assist in making that decision.
So ... why should you vote for me?
Why not?

OPENING STATEMENT
I'm honored to be standing in the position that I am. I know that there are a lot of people who deserve this more than I do. In the Pre-merge I felt I was very helpful with the challenges we were faced with, but after the merge I didn't win a single Immunity.
I played the real Survivor Game. I was one of the very few that came into this game without previously knowing anyone, and this put me at a disadvantage. And yet here I stand today because I overcame that obstacle.
I played a good game. I never lied to anyone. I just came in here and played my game in order to win, and tried my best not to step on any toes in the process.
I think you should vote for me because I overcame big odds: I came in this game not knowing anyone, and I managed to survive without a single immunity win.
Thanks all for the great game.

Well, first I would set aside about a hundred thousand each for my kids (for college and stuff like that). That would leave eight hundred thousand.Kayy911 @ Aug 16 2005, 07:51 PM wrote: what would you do with $1,000,000?
Then I would buy some DVD's.
With the 1,917 dollars remaining, I would give each current member of WOWAY a dollar, under the condition that they donate it to the forum.

From samuraisumo:
So here we are. It has been a long fought duel and we have Dawg and Ak. Definitely not the two I expected. Both of you have been honorable in your dealings with the Castaways and in the game in general. Either one of you winning will be a good thing.
AK, you have definitetly made up for the mistake from Alprentice. I want you to know that you have played well, honestly and honorably. You also surprised me and a few others by winning a few challenges.
Dawg, you started our chat board for the Castaways. You had the double vote as well. Yet as Dingbat has said, you have remained under the radar for most of the game.
This brings up my question for each of you:
To AK: You either won when you had to or had an alliance come into a play when you couldn't. Since the majority of the jury is made of people who have been victims of this, please give a reason why they should vote for you instead of Dawg even though it's because of you they are in their seat instead of the finals.
To Dawg: Compared to most of the other players, you were a rookie and you made it this far by remaining in a very strong alliance. Please explain to this jury why you should be the sole survivor even though you never won a challenge.

Well, none of my "alliances" should have really come as a shock to anyone (either playing or watching). It was pretty clear that before the merge that The Castaways as a tribe had a fairly strong alliance as we started picking off the Poor Mountaneers one at a time.spacedingo @ Aug 16 2005, 09:43 PM wrote: To AK: You either won when you had to or had an alliance come into a play when you couldn't. I believe I was instrumental in that by doing well with the first challenge and picking my first four team members. Having assembled a fairly strong team, all it came down to was winning the challenges, which (as I said) I contributed to quite a bit. So, if any thing, I would think that my former tribe members would vote for me because I helped us get all the way to the merge with only one vote off (Krazy Kyle).
The tribe members of the Poor Mountaneers should vote for me because I proved throughout the game that I am a strong and honest player. I was here for all of the challenges except for one, and although I didn't win them all, I gave my best effort every single time.
I never sought out the alliance that got me to the final two, by the way. I was approached by both sumo and Dogz right after the first challenge. Once I could feel I could trust them, it was really a simple matter of the numbers playing out correctly. Which they did (as far as I can tell, anyway).
As I said in my opening remarks, I didn't vote anyone off to make them feel like a "victim" ... although, in this game, you're going to end up with 13 (or more) of them. I'm actually really surprised to be here, because I am not nearly as cut throat as some of the winners on the real show seem to be.
I hope that answers your question well enough.

I picked Dogz mainly because of his loyalty. He approached me very early on in the game about becoming an alliance. I said sure, why not. I didn't know him at that point, or how loyal he is, but I discovered that he was extremely valuable to me as a sure vote.twinkieweinersandwiches24_7 @ Aug 16 2005, 09:48 PM wrote: Question for Ak:
Why did you choose Dogz to go with you to the final two?
Which turned out to be two votes in some cases.
How could I not take him into the final two with me? I would be betraying a whole game's worth of loyalty, and I just wouldn't feel right about that.
I do believe MarlinsGirl is the stronger player of the two, and she helped so much with the pre merge challenges and really rocked (polka'd) on several of the individual challenges. However, she never approached me after the merge about an alliance, and I never approached her ... we didn't have any form of alliance except for the pre merge voting off of the Poor Mountaneers.
In a nutshell ... I brought Dogz into the final two as a thank you to his loyalty and his votes that helped me get to where I needed to be.
I hope that answers your question well enough.
