I could see "Weasel Stomping Day" as one of the videos played between songs... perhaps with the on-screen lyrics to encourage everyone to sing along.

Now that you mention it, I could totally see Bob showing up on this tour. Whether or not you count that as a video, it still got some more attention than the other originals on the album and that's usually what qualifies it to get played in the following touring cycle.
Not to mention that Dylan just put out a huge album again and is in the limelight again (not that he ever really was out of the spotlight but... whatever).
Plus, he already has a good costume for it.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Anyone else a little worried that Al mentioned in one of his many recent radio interviews that they'd like to do a UK/European tour?

Not that our friends in the UK and Europe don't deserve to see Al...I think it's insane they've never toured there as of yet(!)...but at the same time...if this means a very limited US SOL tour...well...I can't help but worry.. :(...because my means of transport and $$ are severely limited..

WDTAHTM is too complicated to sing live because Al's voice overlaps with itself in the chorus. I'm pretty sure that Al stated this in an Ask Al around the time of the first leg of the tour.
I don't think he did. It is possible for him to do Why Does This Always Happen To Me, he can have his band do the harmonies, like he does with every other song he does live where in the studio he does all the vocals by himself.........
I was elected to lead, not to read.

So if they're doing a Europe tour, does that mean they might come to Canada after the PH tour hiatus?

If he does a European tour, I'm sure it won't be a limited US tour. He'll probably just spilt up the US tour into two different time frames, like he did with PH. For example, he could tour in the US next summer from June to September, take a month off, tour in Europe in October and November, and then tour in the US again in Winter/Spring of 2008.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

No great surprise, but Al confirms that White & Nerdy and Canadian Idiot will be played on the next tour in this short new Rolling Stone interview.

Yeah, if I can do W&N coherently in the right tempo, Al sure as heck can. :peace:

I think it's very cool that he got such a positive mention AND interview in Rolling Stone at all. As I recall, Poodle Hat got a rather tepid review, didn't it?

You can't discount the tendency of music journalists to read what OTHER music journalists are saying, and Rolling Stone has gotta sway 'em a little.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
