Given that Al directed Hanson's video for "River," it appears that even after over a decade and a half, he, Isaac, Taylor, and Zac are still buddies. The first time I met Hanson, Dave (Elvis) sent me some WeirdAlStar stickers to give to them as a gift, and although I was unable to get a picture of them with said stickers, Taylor and Zac were the most excited about them. A few years down the road, I was talking to Zac and when I asked him what his favorite Al song was, his response, though he did not directly answer my question, was very sweet. He said, "Al's a genius. He puts on a great show and everyone should go see him live." I told Al this 2 years later when I met him after the 6/25/10 Keswick show (the night he put me on the spot during "Yoda") and added that I had also met Donny Osmond in 2006 when he played Gaston in "Beauty and the Beast" on Broadway, and his response was, "They're all sweeties." Not to mention Taylor played keys on "If That Isn't Love," which apparently is a Hanson style parody? It amazes me how well-connected Al is!

Al pal and former TWAS director Peyton Reed had his Marvel movie Ant-Man come out today. Also starring parody target TI. I definitely recommend you all see it.

(As if I wasn't excited enough for it already) Patton Oswalt just joined the cast of the upcoming new episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000!

And another Al Pal (And WOWAY!) connection to the new MST3K: A couple of the recent Crow appearances (Including this awesome new Funny or Die video) have been puppeteered by none other than Toasterboy himself, Grant Baciocco!

(Edit: In case there's any confusion, he just did the puppetry. That's Hampton Yount, the new voice of Crow, as the...well, voice of Crow)

That is incredibly shocking. I honestly don't know what to say right now...

Shocking, and sad. But I really wouldn't call him one of Al's "Pals."

Granted, there's no real other place to post this.

And yes, in case you're wondering, I've already brought the trash can up in the mod forum.

Hopefully this doesn't mean Al would stop singing the Prince line from Word Crimes. That would just be too lame.

My guess is normally he wouldn't seeing as how it's not a joke about him per se, just what he always did. But given the timing of the tour, Al might come up with an alternate line just in case
