Wow, sounds like a cool show, Jeremy! Thanks for the report. Wow, Al licked a lady...that's a loaded statement right there.

Some more thoughts, because I never write a review with one post. The girl who was sitting front row center was the object of Al's affection during the stage portion of WBUL, and man was she into it. I thought she was going to climb right up onto the stage and jump Al. And during WaN I was bored (see the Unpopular Opinions thread) and Al noticed this and got right in my face and sang. It made my appreciation for the song go up a notch. After the show we waited by the bus. Steve came out and talked to everyone. He knows so much and loves to share it with everyone. When Al came out they did the line on the far side of the bus so when you were with Al it actually made it more personal. I told him it was the best Yoda chant ever and he laughed. I think despite the hiccup, he really enjoyed what happened. They all had smiles on their faces when it happened. I then told him how Eva was upset that she couldnt come to the how, so he made her a video, and it actually explained alot of the show

Great comments, thanks for coming to our venue and glad you all enjoyed Al! Sorry we missed the "licking of the face"!

D'aww! Love it!
David and I had an amazing time last night (once we finally made it there after the fourth song(?)). We were extremely crunched for time (David had class in Philly until 3 and then had to come pick me up, and then we had to drive all the way to York), and it was getting darker and darker out, so getting there was rather stressful, and we were a tad late for the show. But I'm just glad we didn't miss TOO too much. We got there right as "C.I.A." was starting, so, even though I wasn't there for the grand entrance in the beginning, it was kinda cool walking into the venue and seeing Al right away. I'm gonna admit, I was a wee bit disappointed that the Yoda Chant didn't happen, as I'd been looking forward to doing it all day. I couldn't understand what went wrong with the Chant, though. It seemed like they were all together for the most part. But, they were going rather fast, so maybe somebody got ahead or something. BUT they covered up their little mistake well, and they did a great cover of Radio Radio. That was the first show I've been to where they had to do something like that, so I guess it was kind of a breath of fresh air...which is always good! It was a really really fun show, though. There was a lady sitting near me who was really getting into it and singing along, and it made me feel more comfortable about doing the same thing. On the way home, David told me that he has more of an appreciation for Al after seeing him live. My dad felt the same way after seeing him for the first time. I think it's just a lovable show no matter who you are.
After the show, I told Steve that I really enjoyed "Self Avoiding Random Walk". He seemed pleasantly surprised, and told me the story behind the title of the song. I got to learn about FRACTALS! COOL! It actually was pretty interesting. Steve's an amazing dude, and he told me and David that we were pretty enough to be actors. Self-esteem boost, woo woo! Meeting Al was awesome, as usual. I had him sign the DVD I made last year that has all of my projects from my Videography class on it (It has my music video for "Germs" on it -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8qI58ZFIOg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I told him he inspires me in everything I do, and he thanked me. David got his Tim and Eric Season One DVD signed. It's the only somewhat Al-related thing he owns, but it made Al chuckle when he saw it.

We each got a photo with him and then said our goodbyes. It was a great way to end the night, and I think it made up for our tardiness early on.

I really hope someone got a video of the messed up yoda chant, that would be a neat thing to see. GRR!! Wish his booking people would bring him back to Cincinnati!!
EDIT: I found a video and was just about to post it until i remembered that it will just be deleted off here anyway. But it seemed like they were going faster than they should and i guess got lost...... Wonder what they would do if they messed up their back up song lol. The person who recorded was a bit far back so its not the best video, but at the end when Al anf Steve do the back to back thing and Al jumps up to say thank you, good night it looked like Steve got in the way for a second. Well now off to see if there is a better video out there. I know its wrong to do but if i cant go to one, might as well as enjoy it from someone elses perspective

That seemed to happen quite a bit towards the end of the show!

I sense a bit of a mocking tone there, Mike
