RATS!
Just got this email from TicketMaster(baiter):
"It has come to our attention that due to a System error, several tickets were sold for a Meet & Greet with Weird Al for tonight’s performance. We regret this inconvenience and we will be unable to accommodate the Meet n Greet portion of tonight’s event. The NYCB Theatre at Westbury will refund the $10 additional charge that was added to your ticket price. In addition, we will provide you with a complimentary food & beverage coupons for your use this evening, and we would like to invite you back to a future performance as our guest here at Westbury."

I got the same e-mail too. While I'm a little disappointed that there's no meet and greet, and I figured there was a mistake, you can't go wrong with the way they're making up for it with free food and a free show in the future.
I'm sorry but I have to say I am glad.. as I was always under the impression that Al had a policy to never charge people to meet him as so many stars do. Sorry for those people who were misled, but glad that Al is still not a greedy person

Yes, I've only heard of him charging for m&g when 1) it was for winners of a charity auction and 2) once in Oxnard when the promoters sold m&g tickets without Al's knowledge or approval and he honored them anyway.
I have noticed on ticketmaster that this is a now common trend. When I was looking at Victoria Justice and Big Time Rush tickets they were doing the same. I was surprised when I saw it for an Al show, and am glad that he isn't doing it. I like the buses
Talking about music is like fishing about architecture- FZ
I think it is a horrid trend. I've heard of parents of little kids shelling out many hundreds of dollars for their little angel to get a cursory glimpse of Brittney etc after already expensive concerts.
I'd rather see someone that actually wanted to see me than who was contractually obligated to do so no matter how exhausted

Great show, coffee shop was Starbucks on Brush Hollow Road.
Had a pass for afterwards *thanks Dave!* and something happened that will leave me laughing for a while! Before the show we went to Five Guys in Hicksville, and over dinner Dave got the idea to ask Al to take a picture with Lil' Jimmy *WWE fans will get the reference* First, I laughed Sprite through me nose. But second, I didn't think he was really going to, but he did. When he did, Al shot me a confused look and went "Umm.....oooooooooooookay" Dave said "No that's not Lil' Jimmy, he's over here and a little shy" and "lead" him over to Al. One of the most priceless pictures I have ever seen. And Lil' Jimmy came back for one with Al and I, which I'll put up as soon as Jackie sends it over to me.
Thank you Dave, Jackie, Adrian and Anne for making my final East Coast concert one of the most memorable experiences I've had in a long time. I'll miss you guys, and hopefully down the road we can do it again!
