Be good to get him on Craig Ferguson though.. and all those other big shows[/quote]
I would've preferred Al being on Craig Ferguson than Jimmy Fallon. Not to go off topic, but Ferguson's funnier and seems more at-ease than what I've seen of Fallon. Most may disagree with me but Ferguson's a better show.

I agree it has a lot of nerd cred... but I suppose its all about viewing figures..
We need a Statistics report on demographic, viewing figures and "reach" for all these different shows

Last I heard, in terms of Fallon/Ferguson, it's fairly tied, neck to neck. Fallon wins some nights, Craig the others. But in terms of other stuff, I dunno.

Hard core Al fans are self-catering.
The makeup he was wearing for this was disconcerting, even more I think than the full-on makeup in the video. Probably because when I'm at work I'm used to seeing men wearing eye makeup, in a completely different context.
There was that something about Al's voice that I hear sometimes in very high-visibility situations, that I assume is his adrenaline going off the charts, but it was working for him here... I thought the singing & interpretation of the song were excellent. Really good performance.
Couldn't get a real good view of the band members' costumes, but hey, that's what concerts are for.

I actually made it a point to be up early enough to watch this. I too, was bummed that he was part of a "Where Are They Now?" spin, but I didn't really expect more than stock questions/answers either from these gals. I thought the performance was great (even though I too wished that they used less clips from the video) and I thought it was cool that he used the same male dancers from the video. I'm more surprised that they chose the "small intestines" clip than the police tape/habit clip.
Here's a thought: Why didn't Al just go on Ellen for this instead of The View? I mean, she's a comedian so it would probably lead to a more interesting interview that's better suited more toward his fans AND the middle aged housewife audience.

Ellen goes on hiatus during the summer

. She usually does not come back on until september
He would be really good on Ellen, she talks to everyone like good friends and sometimes she finds something really old and embarrassing that the guest has done and suprises them with it. Or she will have someone sneak up on them and scare the crap out of them

And 3 of the 4 hosts of the view are comedians as well

I doubt Al really gets to pick and choose what shows he appears on.

Dave
Unfair, unfair!
Can't he get an item in his tour rider to provide a couple of male dancers [just as he has been doing with SLN for seemingly forever]?
Cheers, Diva
who was overdue for an inconsequential snit fit

LOL Diva! Who needs dancers just out of short pants cluttering up the stage when there's plenty of eye candy up there already!
