I suppose I simply assumed that, since Al is entirely capable of writing funny stuff, he would be writing the funny stuff he said for Rifftrax. Mind you, I will cheerfully show up to hear and/or watch Al perform somebody else's stuff... but I like it better when it's Al's material in Al's voice.

Unless you're a huuuuge Maine lobster connoisseur, and have no opinion about filet mignon. Sure it might taste good, but why would you go out to that restaurant knowing the lobster has run out if all you really care about is eating lobster?
Touche, good sir.

Thank you for not indulging in a pretentious food metaphor.

Can we scrape together enough food metaphors for a cheesy compilation do you think?

I've decided I'm going to take an optimistic outlook, based on the fact that Al said he got the DVD a few days ago and not a script, and hope that Al has, indeed, been madly scribbling down (or typing up) some really funny stuff. In any case, I'm sure I'll enjoy it... tomorrow night. Church tonight. Interestingly, the live broadcast is showing in LB tonight, but tomorrow I'll have to go at least 15 miles to catch it.

Well, that was such a funny and great show!! Al did great with what he had. It was so cool to hear Hardware Store and Everything You Know is Wrong play in the theatre before the show. And to actually see a full picture of Al on a full movie screen in my hometown, was AWESOME!!!
Great appearance Al, definitely worth the money!

Guess we all had the same pre-show music - it was fun to hear other people singing along to Hardware Store! Al definitely had some fans in the house.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone going to tomorrow night's show, but be prepared to laugh!

I went tonight in Indianapolis and really had a great time. I am a fan of this type of humor anyways and to have Al included was just an added bonus! I walked in during EYKIW. It was really a nice suprise to walk in to that. Thought that The Night Santa Went Crazy might have been funny too. The preshow slides were a riot as well. Al did a great job and overall it was well worth the money. I would love to see more like this as special events in the future.

I missed the pre-show music, but the actual show was great. I see why Al had such a short part, but I wish (obviously) he had more screentime.
I am a Happy Fan!
