That's part of the joke. Al is more than just an internet celebrity, so it's like he's saying he has to pretend to be less famous than he is to get on the show.

That was awesome. I was just laughing like a maniac for about two minutes straight there.

And is it just me, or Al's Mark Gormley sounds a lot like Al's Fred Huggins?

And yeah, Tosh.0 is definitely the poor man's Web Soup.
