Well, I just got back, and it was really enjoyale. As far as I know there wasn't a meet and greet (I don't know if a meet and greet would have been announced on-stage or not). I was disapointed that Weird Al didn't sing any songs that he initially couldn't get permission to parody, just You're Pitiful (which he of course got permission for at first) and In Love with the Skipper (which he also got permission for, but just chose not to release). But I really enjoyed the video clips. There were many that I hand't seen, though most of Al's interviews from the last three Al-TV specials were shown, and I've only seen his last four Al-TV specials (either in full or in part).
Here is a full rundown of what songs he performed (from memory, order might be off):PolkaramaCanadian IdiotClose But No CigarBob (he introduced it by saying that in honor of the foruth of july, he would sing a song about palindromes)You're PitifulMedley: Couch Potato, Do I Creep You Out, In Love with the Skipper, Ode to a Superhero, Trapped at the Drive Thru (accompanied by footage from the music video), Bedrock Anthem, Gump, and Eat ItAmish ParadiseSmells Like NirvannaThe Saga BeginsYoda (and the Yoda Chant)White and NerdyFatAlbequrque I thought I'd read that an updated version of Headline News was on this tour, but wasn't at this show. I am also suprised that Don't Download This Song wasn't included. I also wish that a few more of his earleir songs were included, but all in all, it was worth going to.
Video clips included his AL-TV interviews with (in no particular order) Cher, Emenem, Keven Federline, Celin Dion, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Michael Strife, Snoop Dog, Madona, Paul McCartney, Avril Lavine, and some celebrity whom I couldn't identify (I think Al referred to him as Stevie at one point). Some clips were shown in full, others were just brief.
It also included such clips as Gandi II, Bad Haircut (the only Weird Al Show clip there... I wish that one or two more could have been shown), Weasle Stomping Day, Al's appearance on The Simpsons and Johnny Bravo (and some other cartoon where Al did a guest voice... I don't know what the show was), and even some shows where Al was just mentioned (Friends, King of the Hill, and some cartoon that I don't know of... In this clip, somebody claims that his friends call him "Weird", while I've read elsewhere that Al doens't like to be called just "Weird").
I thought I read at All Things Yankovic that the openign montage ended witha clip from Rocky and Bullwinkle, with Rocky saying "And now here's something we hope you'll realy like". That clip wasn't included here. Instead, it ended with a omontage of people introducing Weird Al (the crowd started applauding wildly at this... I thought, "I haven't seen these clisp before! Stop clapping and let me hear!").

Oh yeah, I forgot to list them. I also forgot to list Ebay, but I can't remember whether the whole song was performed or if it was just part of the medley. I also forgot to lsit A Complicated Song, which was part of the medly. Man, I brought some index cards with me, so I could write down all of the songs in order as they played, but then didn't (I also broguth them in case I could get an autograph, though I also bought a t-shirt at the concert).
During the two Star Wars songs, I saw some fans waving light sabers in the audience. I also noticed that tjhe concert version of Albequrque has some extra lines. For example, Al asks about more donut flavors, and when his wife asks if he wants to join the columbia record club, she says a few more things before getting to the line (I can't remember what pet names she referred to him as). And when Al mentions that somebody told him he hadn't had abite to eat in three days, Al repeats that particular line before gtting to the punchline.
It was funny, before the encore, Al said that he only had time for one more song. The tiem spent singing Albequrque could have been spent singing two or three songs (and of coruse he started with Cell Phones... I didn't list that in the song listing because I don't consider it a real song).

It was pure awesome. That's all that needs to be said.
It actually makes me consider seeing him in Cincy in a couple weeks.

Well, WeirdAlFan1000000, was right...these promoters and amphitheatre were a lot better than the livenation people.
I guess I'll just start back at soundcheck. Sorry, I didn't check-in with a review of it. The main songs he did in soundcheck were Why Does This Always Happen To Me? and Amish Paradise. It was a really cool version of Amish Paradise(The Bass Version), lol...Al was basically singing it as low as he could...The band also played a little of Beverly Hillbillies from UHF, and a few other snippets from the past. With Why? being played at soundcheck, I thought that it would be played during the show. I also took a few pics, what I could get through the fence, of it...and some girl came out and said the artist requested no one to take any pictures. I was like, Who are you? She said she was the manager...even said she was Al's manager...and I said "Wow, you replaced Jay Levey!"..She then backtracked and said she was the building manager, and that Al's rider requested no pictures. I said, "Well, I've taken them before at Al's shows". She then said, "Well, you can't take them here". It ended up that they actually allowed them during the show, as long as they weren't professional.
After she went away, and soundcheck was over...the guys from Twin Entertainment came up to me. They introduced theirself and said that they were the promoters for the show, and were glad to meet me. I wasn't sure why, but I was glad...I stayed and watched sound-check while the caterers went in and gave Al and the guys their stuff...the guy then came out and asked me if I had ever met Al. Well, I figured he was asking for some reason, so I said only once or twice. They asked how it happened. I said, I just waited out by the bus for a couple hours after the show. Gail, the head guy, then said that he would try to get me backstage tonight. He got my cell number, and said he would give me a call.
I then went back out to the van with my mother, and waited for longer till the show. Gail came out to his car parked right beside ours, and him and my mother started talking. She asked if it was alright if she parked there for the show, since we had kinda gotten into trouble at Indy...and that was $5 parking there..this was free...He said it was fine, but was she not going to the show...She said that we couldn't afford now for both of us to go to the show...He said, he was sorry, and then went away...
I started walking on one of the trails at Iroquois Park..and the other partner in the Twin Entertainment, hollered at me..and said Jeremy, I just got your mother a comp ticket for the show tonight. I went and told her, and in a little bit, Gail brought her ticket out to her...it was actually just in the row behind me, and was an aisle seat. The ticket value was around $55 with what I paid, but she got for free from the kind promoters.
We then went in, and sat down for the show. The aisles were wide, and the seat's were perfectly inclinded to provide an unsecluded view of the stage. It was one of the best views I had had at a Weird Al concert. It ended up being one of the best concerts I have seen, and that's saying something with 46 shows. There were a couple different spots...longer pause than usual before the start of Ruben's keyboard routine before Saga Begins...a few different words used...truthfully...I unfortunately can't remember all. During Wanna B Ur Lovr, the row in front of me was empty...so he did the dancing on chair thing to the girl right next to me...so that was definitely the best view I have gotten of that...Also, since it was the 4th, Louisville put off tons of fireworks..some during the show, and my seat in the middle was perfect to see them...I could hear them go up, look over, watch them...and go back to the show..Smells Like Nirvana was back, and it looked like Kelly Kelly from the WWE was one of the cheerleaders, I know she is from the Louisville are and used to dance..so I guess it could have been her...I should have asked my friends, the promoters....
I decided to wait after the show to see where people with passes went, and they eventually had to go outside around to the office. Well, I went out there and still hadn't heard anything, so I was looking for a place where there could be a public meet-n'-greet. I decided to watch some more fireworks and stand between the bus, and the group of fans that had conglomerated at the door of the office where pass people had gone in. Nothing happened, so I thought I would give a shot calling the promoter...first it didn't call, second I got his voicemail, and third time was the charm...he said he would ask about it, and see if I could come up...he said he would call me back. Well, I figured that was a no, since I knew how he was in calling me back...but luckily, he soon came out the door..pointed at me, and told me to come backstage with him. He brought me down a hallway and up a flight of stairs to the room. I go in, and the first person I see is Jim...he said "Hey Jeremy, it's nice to see you again"..I reply the same, although I wasn't sure what to do, since I was supposed to only met him once or twice before, lol...Anyway, I get in line, and get up to Al...and the other promoter guy tells me to tell Al my story, lol..I say that it is my 46th show, and was glad to finally get to meet him....He seemed to think I was crazy, but I continued talking with him, got my picture taken..ticket autographed..and then the promoter guys talked to me, and said they hoped my mom enjoyed the concert...I said she did, and I said, that I could not thank them enough for everything they had done for me today...I then found my way back outside and watched more fireworks...
IF YOU DON'T READ ANYTHING ELSE,
this was definitely one of the best shows I have been to, and the nicest promoters I have seen. They were definitely a lot nicer than livenation...provided a comp premium ticket to the show and a backstage pass.
Really nice experience at Iroquois Park...couldn't have asked for better.

Thanks for the nice review, Jeremy. I'm glad it was a great show, and wow, you really got lucky with the comped ticket for your Mom, and a backstage pass. The promoters sounded like they were really cool. Excellent!

Wow that must have confused the band, you pretending you didn't know them Haha.
I'm glad this was nice for you after the last one was so unfriendly.
Looking forward to maybe meeting you, Jeremy

I saw a lot of people take pictures during the performance. I saw one woman keep running down the isles to get pictures during almost every song. I didn't attemptt o take any pictures until the Cell Phones song, when I turned my cell phone on and waved it. And that was abad time. The bright lights made it hard to get a good picture. I took one picture, but Al can hardly be seen in that picture.
Man, I keep forgettign about cerain songs. I forgot to list Confessions Part III, which was part of the medley. I hope there's nothing else that I forgot to lsit, but I do know for sure that he didn't sing any of the following: I Lost on Jeopardy, Lasagna, Melanie, Dare to be Stupid, One More Minute, Headline News, Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch, Airline Amy, I Was Only Kidding, Phoney Calls, The Night Santa Went Crazy, Don't Download This Song, Green Eggs and Ham, Belvedere Cruisin', and anything from "Weird Al" Yankovic or Polka Party.

Best 4th of July EVER! Got to the venue around 6:30. Free parking! I couldn't believe it. definitely off to a good start. Grab my tickets @ will call & off I go. Merch time! Scored a khaki "homeboy" shirt. Next, its time to find the seat. Me & the wife had 2nd row on the right, and our friend that was with us had front row on the left. So we decide to just hang by the side of the stage until showtime. Saw Bermuda walkin' by the stage. I wave. He smiles. Waves. Good times! We make our way to our seat about 10 minutes before showtime. Fun zone started around 8:15 to an impressive crowd. Highlights (for me) included Polkarama, Canadian Idiot, Close But No Cigar, Bob...wait, Everything was a highlight! Lotta donuts-coconut, strawberry, cranberry, boisenberry, gooseberry, Halleberry, French crawlers...
OK, so shows over. Rats. Time to leave. We catch up with our friend & I ask him if he was able to catch any Yankobucks since he was on the front row and all. He pulls out 3 bucks, one for each of us! Aaah, what a pal! So as we exit the building, we dart over to the buses. As we get close, we notice a small group of folks have gathered for a meet n greet. Cool, right? Wrong. As we get close this security lady screams at us and waves her arms for us to leave...Ah man, must be passes only....wait a sec, other people are still walking over & she says nothing to them. ??? So we try a 2nd time, and BAM, we are escorted by security to the line to meet AL! (turns out there was a car behind us that she was waving off, not us).
So we wait by the bus for about an hour, giggling and punching at each other like we're 7 1/2 years old. At this point, the line starts moving. OMG, freakin' out a little. Before a know it, its my turn. I peek inside the bus, and sitting on the steps is THE MAN himself. I ask him if he would sign my Yankobuck & I tell him "Ive listened to you my whole life, I have every album.." blah blah typical fanatic banter. I also ask him about the chances of The Compleat Al coming to DVD, and he says its really out of his hands & if the "powers that be" feel the urge to release it. I then get a quick photo opp with THE MAN, and then its my wifes turn. She thanks him for the countless hours of enjoyment his music has given her while she is driving. Al seemed humbled by her statement & they snap a pic together. Then my friends turn. He told Al he seemed so down to Earth. Al smiled & quickly responded "you too!" A signed ticket & photo opp ensue, and like that.....the best 4th of July ever came to a close.
