I was standing about two miles away from the stage (with the rest of the cheap bastards) and missed half of the show. Therefore, I can't do a decent review. Hopefully someone else can.
One thing though- this was the biggest crowd I've ever seen for an Al concert!

Hi!
We had seats in section B, row S (5&6).
Al played the set described in this post (and here) with the exception of #7 being "Bob" and not "Why Does This Always Happen To Me?".
The show differed from the Stockton show in only a few ways:Al noticed someone blowing bubbles during Albuquerque and stopped to say, "Oh bubbles" before continuing"Bob" instead of "Why Does This Always Happen To Me?"No "Radio Radio" mishapsextra long "Do you have any -x- donuts" sequence during AlbuquerqueThe first song sounded tinny in my opinion, but later songs sounded ok (bad microphone?)
Show lasted from 7:32-9:45 (2:13).
The seats were (in my opinion) too close together--I felt cramped the entire time.
I didn't stick around to see if anyone came out to talk to fans afterward.
Hope everyone else enjoyed it too!

I happened to be visiting family in California this weekend and had no idea Al was doing a concert until I was already down there.
My flight was scheduled to leave yesterday at 2:30pm, but when I found out Al was playing 45 minutes from where my sisters lived.....I changed the flight so my sisters and I could take all of my nephews and nieces out to the fair. They ran out of wristbands while we were in line and we didn't have tickets, so we staked out a spot on the grass hill and settled in for a few hours to save it while the kids rode the rides.
This was the furthest back I've ever been, but we could still hear really well (and there was a nice big video monitor we could watch the show on). As far as the show itself, it was fantastic. The set list has really changed since the last tour and it's great.
This was the first show I've ever seen where Yoda was NOT the encore. That was a little weird.
It was also the first time I've ever heard one of my favorites (Albuquerque) done live. When I heard that I was very pleasantly surprised (I had not been reading the set lists in the tour reports here).
Only low point in the evening had nothing to do with Al. As we were leaving, there was some huge gang fight brewing. We all got out safely...but it was certainly a surprise to see at a county fair. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20585005/#storyContinued
I'm going to be at the Puyallup Fair show in my home state of Washington next Weds....and I can't wait!

Here's a message I wrote to Greg this morning about why I only got 12 signatures on the Rock Hall petition-
Well, lets get the bad news over with. 12 signatures. We thought wed get to the fair about 4:30 to avoid the worst of the heat. We were fine and on schedule when we hit the traffic jam to get into the parking lot. It took us an hour to get parked, in a lot so remote from the fair that they were running school buses to shuttle people to the entrance. By the time we got in, it was about 6:30 and Jerry was starved and insisting that I eat something (I get nauseated when its too hot and cant eat). We found some food and drinks and set out to find Linda. She had a spare ticket for my friend Dale and he couldnt get into the seating area without it. Security was everywhere and frowning at my folder. We couldnt find Linda and finally thought we might have a better chance if Jerry and I went inside so we could see her when she came in. Dale waited outside- what a patient guy! We ran a gauntlet of security guards and ushers-Ive never seen so many- to get to our seats. I took out my folder, but the reserve seating area was unpopulated until the very last minute, when the California Golden Bear came down the aisles throwing stuff into the rabid crowd. I couldnt see a thing, and Linda is so small! It was incredibly loud- it actually vibrated my rib cage- so there was no distracting anybody for a quick sneaky signature. Fun Zone kicked in- no Linda! There was nothing more I could do so I sat down for the show. Ironically, the 3 seats next to me were empty the whole show.
After it was over, Jerry and I went to the front to stand and look for Linda- she and Dale were there, I dont know how they found each other, there were so many people. She had finally gotten in just in time to have Al offer to chew on her butt. She gave me my backstage pass and we all gathered up the gifts for Al and went back for the presentation.
After that it must have been about 11:00. We left the seating area to find the fair a changed place. It was scary, with lots of girls dressed like hookers and real live gangstas all over the place. There was a large group of mounted police riding into the main entrance and when we got out, police cars were everywhere. We struggled to find the bus back to our remote parking lot. Two girls got in a fight and when the police tried to break it up, the girls started beating the police officers! We gratefully got on our bus back to the parking lot. Driving away past the fair, I saw at one intersection, 7 police cars and 8 bicycle officers blocking one direction. At the next intersection, 8 more cars. At the next intersection, 10 officers stood in a line blocking the same direction. It felt like a war zone. I was worried about Linda, but she had Vikki and the kids and Aron with her, so at least they were a group.
It just killed me, it was a huge, huge, enthusiastic crowd, many rabid fans, judging by the amount of singing along I could hear. If I only had been able to talk to them! The signatures I got are from some of my camping friends and some people I saw while we ate our corn dogs. It just makes me want to scream!
