I really doubt that the album would come out in late 2007, especially since Al is touring next summer. As for early 2008, it's also very unlikely because it takes a long time to record an album, and Al will probably not be done touring until later in 2007. Plus, I'd much rather see Al take the extra time and come out with a full 12-track album.

I'm gonna think the last song will HAVE to be in the style of Radiohead

it's really impossible to say who will be parodied on the next album. There's no way of telling now where pop culture is going to be in the future, or how many of the popular artists that are around and popular now will still be around in 3-4 years time....

when i first saw this topic i laughed. SOL hadn't been out for 2 days and already there's a topic about album 13....This topic seems like it's really only good for discussion what we'd like to see on the album. Think about the speculation for SOL, we really didn't have much of a clue until early this year, which means [using 2009 as an example], it will be late '08, early '09 before we could make any educated guesses.

Not that there's anything wrong with healthy speculation

I guess we'll just have to wait.

Here's an idea.
How about Weird Al does a country song for once.
I think so far he only did, like, 1 or twp (if you count the Truck Driving Song) - but no country parodies.

Achy Breaky Song was a country parody.

Well, country is rather big right now but I don't think Al has a good country voice; besides, country songs suck.

Country's always been big. It's always been the #1 or #2 selling genre. Just not always to a point where people notice.m In fact, I'd say right now it's doing great, but it's not where it was during the "crossover" phase from a few years ago. There's always hits, but they still mostly stay at a non crossover level (And the ones that do crossover are 99% female singers. That wouldn't stop Al but make it more difficult to use one)

Country's far from my favorite, but I'd take one.
