Agh!! Living in Ohio sucks! Oh well. Everyone who gets to go to the signing can say hi to Al for me.

I cant really say for that particular store, but having worked in a bookstore and having done and been to many signings, it helps to get there early. The bigger that star the earlier you will want to get there. a lot of stores hand out tickets for the real big names, which means you go early and they give you a ticket with a number and they will call 1-50 at 7:00, then 51-100 at 7:15 and so on. But I cant see you having to get there before 5:30-6:00. But I would ask someone who got to go to the last signing what times they got there and what times the line really started. Also many stores prefer it if you bought the product in their store, thats why they have the signings, to make money. If you can have multiple items signed you can bring something from home, but it's a good rule of thumb to buy your item at the store because if they dont make much money with a particular person, they wont invite them back.

Last time Al signed at the Hollywood Virgin Megastore, when you pre-ordered the album at any local Virgin store, they gave you a wristband. Then you picked up your copy of the CD at the store where the signing was happening. You had to have a wristband to be in the line. But if I remember correctly, Al did stay until the un-wristbanded fans had their CDs signed too. He just really isn't very good at disappointing fans. :)

Feelings are unreliable that way. Your chances are good; Al tours in Florida a lot. And the next time he goes through there, he will not be suffering from a recent bereavement, so he'll probably do some meet & greets.

I think I'll be taking the day off on 9/26. I am there!

Yeah, I got a wristband for the PH signing...I took the day off that time, too. It was easier then since there used to be a Virgin Megastore just blocks from me in Burbank, so I was able to get the wristband first thing in the morning for the evening signing in LA. Since then, the roof has caved in--literally--at the Megastore (due to the heavy rains last year) and it's long gone. It's worth getting the wristband though, since you won't have to wait THAT long in line, and it pretty much guarantees you the piece of mind that Al won't get tired and leave you hanging. Doubt he would, since he seems to appreciate his fans so much, but I'm not taking any chances!

If they do the wristband thing this year, I highly recommend trying to get one. Even WITH the wristband for the PH signing, I was in line for over an hour.

Hollywood & Highland is very very close to where I live and I will most certainly be there to get my album signed. Maybe I can even get some of my loser non-Al fans to join me.
Make sure to mention CCT and give him a knowing wink. ;)
