Thanks, SD!
I was at the OC show on Monday. I do think I saw SG. Quite cool to meet Al fans! Unfortunatly, I was in row Q on the ground level. Still, it was better then being in the bleachers! I came with my sister, who's an oldie Al fan. She was a fan of him when she was young, but when she grew up, she lost track of him.
But, she introduced me to Al, sort of like passing the Torch.

So, at the OC show, when she didn't get what the new songs were all about, (She didn't know Dog Eat Dog, Amish Paradise, Pentiums, Saga Begins.... she missed out on alot. The last album she bought of his was.... Off the Deep End.) I got to fill her in. It was cool. Heh, Steve asked if we were a couple, since I am taller then my sister, and she's only 22. We both laughed. Afterwords, she had to admit that "He put on one h*ll of a show!" So, the show re-kindled her interest in Al. She was psyched to go in the first place, so it was great to finally find something my sister likes as much as I do!
I did manage to get Steve's autograph, but Al wouldn't come out on Monday night. Well, I shouldn't say wouldn't, since he hates to disappoint his fans, but he was busy, or something, or he snuk away to eat a Twinkie Weiner Sandwich, I can't figure out which.....
Anyway, this show has given me a reason to go to more concerts. Hopefully, Al will continuue to perform in areas around me, since my Parents are not gonna let me go out of state. I ended sitting next to some 20-something teens, and I thought they were punks. It was midway through Al's concert exclusive song; "The Toppings Will Go On It" that I realized that they were big Al fans, like me, so it was great to find some folks who could sing along with me! Heck, if it wasn't for them, my sister and I would have missed the Encore!
Well, I've yacked enough for this post. Moving on....

A tad off topic, but it relates to tours so I hope not too far off...
I am comparing the set lists from the last few tours against the set list from OC. Trying to figure out what the set list for P@TLC might look like... I know, it's probably wasted time, but we already know I have too much time on my hands.
Can anyone tell me from the OTDE tour were Money For Nothing, I Can't Watch This and Living With A Hernia costume songs?
What about Headline News on the Bad Hair tour?
Thanks.

It has to be the hail & lightning storm during the RWS Tour. It was here in Kansas City at Starlight theater. I don't think anyone left & the show was delayed a good hour and a half, thats a good example of how loyal Al fans really are. Fortunatly we had an umbrella to keep the hail off but it was hard to hold it during the hurricane winds. I'm not sure how far away the lightning struck but there was no delay between the flash & the sound & I swear I felt tingling a couple of times when the lightning hit. My Wife was all worried but I told her "Getting hit by a little lightning bolt never hurt anyone". Fortunatly that made her feel better.
Thats my story & I'm stickin to it!

Well, Al always puts on some form of jacket for Money For Nothing. In TWS it was yellow, but in OC it was sparkly silver. (I'm all for the sparkly silver. Pretty!)
I Can't Watch This is ironically the song that I can't stop watching. LOL Al was in some big, big floppy pants and a little midriff top. At least I think it was a midriff top. I may just have to watch it again!
And Living With A Hernia saw Al in his baby blue suit, just like in the video. Oh, and the wig that goes with it, as well. There was also the obligatory guy-with-a-cape waiting to cloak Al in silver-and-blue mystery only to have Al rear up like a wild stallion and fling the cape to the ground.
Headline News...I'm thinking that Al was just in his Hawaiian shirt. (And PANTS! Jeez. LOL)
Smegabyte *correct me if I'm wrong about any of this, folks*

It had really nothing to do with the actual performance, but seeing Mongo tackle a couple of stage-crashers at the end of Al's birthday show last year was pretty cool.
Oh yes....that was an interesting show. There were several fine moments at Leisenring. Who can forget the missing stool (that sounds bad) during TSB, singing Happy Birthday to Al, his touching story about how he'd always wanted to do a show in a skating rink in the middle of nowhere, Ruben NOT getting shot..... And Al tossed me the OMM boxers. I felt privileged.

Boy it's hard to say what my favorite moments were for last tour.. During the Youngstown(?) concert they had a long table setup right at the edge of the table (maybe one of the LAS tables??) and during Pentiums Al leaped out onto it, which of course due to the laws of physics and momentum made the table tip him into the front row (oh man I would loved to have those seats! lol).. he kept right on singing like a Pro, as the stage guys rushed to right the table.. he gets back up on stage during the song, and AGAIN jumps out onto the table, which of course, again dumps him to the floor (maybe he liked the effect?).. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack!!
By far my favorite would have to be Tiffin, where we had 5 Gals in the front row because two of them bribed the guys in front of them to switch seats, and since the other folks in the front row were zombies we got to have Al and Steve play up to us alot during the show -- that was so much fun!

My favorite was when he was playing at the MN State Fair for the RWS tour. When he started doing TNSWC, by the time the first verse started coming in, i look to the row infront of me and there is this girl crying and covering her ears with her grandma-looking chaperone comforting her. I pointed it out to my friend and we both started laughing our asses off. I am totally going to Hell.
