From what I understand, he would still be there. There's plenty of bands who've been in the running for years that are still eligible.

Officially, not for a while SSG. I don't believe next year's nominees are up yet...

Another Christmas comedian is "Weird Al" Yankovic. In his "The 12 Pains of Christmas," Yankovic complains about stale TV specials, hangovers, post-holiday bills, in-laws and more in his spoof of "The Twelve Days of Christmas." His caustic outlook earned him a place in our poll's most-hated list.

                                                                                             - The Plain Dealer

This is another good reason why I will never use KaZaA as my flagship to demo my parodies to the world.

I know that The Plain Dealer corrected their erroneous mix up with Bob Rivers and Al, but Bob Rivers is NO Al.

As for file sharing services like KaZaA, well, they're just loaded with ignorami who can't tell the difference between "Weird Al" Yankovic, Heywood Banks, Bob Rivers, Bob Ricci, Jimmy Fallon, Your Mother and so many others I didn't meantion.

That's like saying "Hey, look! I downloaded a Rare "Weird Al" Yankovic song called It's Still Real Estate To Me."

Sure, it sounds like Al did that one, but Mad Genius wrote and recorded that one, stupid!

Bravo, MG!

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Oh God...we should make some effort to tell the entire world what songs Al did write and what songs Al didn't! A giant poster that would hang from the International Space Station? That's not a bad idea...
Cane and Rinse: weekly thoughtful video game discussion. Give it a listen, won't you?

It still wouldn't work...

You'll have people crediting Al to the wrong songs and calling him "Yanko-vich" until the end of time..

Some people will always be ignorant...

Thanks for the props SmileyGirl87 and Algonacchick! As for teaching ignorami bewteeen the difference between our boy and many other novelty artists out there, well, that's never going to go away. As for folks mispronouncing Al's last name. *cough-Yankovich-cough* ...Well, that's just inexcusable, plain and simple, it's INEXCUSABLE It's just as bad as calling me Mad Genious, when there is no "O" in Genius, Genius!

[Edit: Thanks for the English Lesson Mewrio, I was a bit tired last night]

Well here's a pot calling the kettle black. Unexcusable is not a word, it's "inexcusable". :P
