No doubt to promote the Merrillville show, since Merrillville is technically a suburb of Chicago.

Yes, that is why, based on what my mom said.

Get this:

According to my mom, after Al was on the WGN news he went over to the local Fox News morning show and was on there for a minute or so.

So she has both the WGN and Fox appearances taped! Yay for mom!

The Fox appearance hadn't been promoted according to her, so I don't know if it was a last-minute thing or what. She was taping that, too, on another VCR because American English were on. So having two VCRs finally came in handy!

Unfortunately I won't be going up until Labor Day weekend (sorry!), so I won't see either tape until then. I can't wait!! I guess from what she said there was nothing Earth-shattering in either appearance, but it will still be interesting to watch.

I'll let you guys know when I have the tapes, so you can PM me then for more info if you'd like.
