ANYONE who doesn't think this song rocks, has never been in a long term serious relationship. This song is a perfect replica of the only thing my wife and I have argued about in our 12 years together.
Thank you Al for the best song ever!!!!
I like when he decides to go to the drive through and tries to make his wife guess.
"She said, what?"
"I said, Guess"
"She said, WHAT?"
lol That's the tone I would take with my husband after a long day of working with kids and he starts to act like one too.

That's exactly how I feel, Operalady! I can feel her pain when she says "WHAT?" like that. I'd be like "Don't push it, buddy!"

I love the part when he turned the radio off because his wife was getting a headache. Things are always funnier when they're pertinent.

Alaina had a holiday choir performance tonight. On the way there the kids wanted to stop for a burger - and insisted on the drive thru. We were third in line but it was taking so long I thought I was going to spend my twilight years there. Turns out, the nice kids working the window weren't the sharpest crayons in the box.
Anyway, Alaina orders a grilled onion burger. Braeden and I started singing TitDT to her. We sang the end to her and speculated that would be her fate. Sure enough She unwrapped the paper, bit into those buns and just couldn't believe it -
they forgot the onions!
We lived it!

Hahaha. Nice.
It's also really fun to listen to this song while you're in a drive-thru.

I just remembered this little anecdote.
On the way home from the signing, my dad, my friend, and I hadn't eaten dinner yet, so we pulled into an In-N-Out Burger (a great, clean fast-food chain in CA, for those who don't live here) Drive-Thru. It was extremely crowded, and we soon decided not to sit in line for 30 minutes just to eat. (After pulling into the parking lot, we realized that the line was going out of the other entrance.) As we were trying to pull out of the parking garage, we got in a big traffic jam caused the the drive-thru line. So we were, in a sense, trapped in the drive thru

This has already been discussed in Media Al, but this song surprisingly made
Rolling Stone magazine's Top 100 songs of 2006 list, at #77:
The link to the article is here.
77 "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" [Song]
"Weird Al" Yankovic
We thought R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet" was beyond parody until we heard this "Weird Al" joint, which chronicles a couple's struggle to get dinner.
Who woulda thought?

Wow, that's nice to hear that "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" made it in Rolling Stone's list.
When I first heard R Kelly's original song, I thought he had gone mad! But Al's version is brilliant.
