I wasn't at that show, but Alamom (whose real name is, same as mine, also Linda Ward) was, and Al fell off a substantially raised stage in the middle of a song. He yelled out "drum solo" while he tried to recover himself and limped back onstage. Many people apparently thought it was part of the show, but he was injured and a bit shaken up. He ended up apologizing later during the show for what he perceived as the lack of the energy.
It was written up in an old issue of Midnight Star.
... Awww!
Yeah, I get the feeling Al was just added on my "to pray for" list for his good health during tours...

Yup. He's on mine then too. Especially for the health of his vocal chords (as well as not falling off stages or breaking anything, of course). And the strain of being away from his family, and just the general energy-drainingness of being on tour.

Definitely! We don't want anything bad to happen to our boy or his loved ones!

Aww, I'd be pretty shaken up too if I fell off a stage! I almost did once - at the time I had a broken arm (or so I thought) and couldn't balance right, so I stumbled, but made it off safely. Thank goodness.
Al is always on my list................. What?

I'm glad that Al hasn't been attacked on stage by a jealous "fan" or something, like Robbie Williams was once.

Yeah, but Al has an accordion. He'd use it as a shield AND hit them over the head with it!
Hmm... it could be integrated as part of the show......
But really, if it actually happened, that would be awful. Especially here in Glasgow. Hope that doesn't put him off touring here (if he ever does) - just don't let the neds past the door without being triple searched.

Now here's a question, what do you want to see on the next tour? I'm really hoping Al does a big revamp to his show, as it's been almost exactly the same since Bad Hair Day Tour. I think it's time to retire Amish Paradise, Smells like Nirvana, Pentiums, Saga Begins, and possibly One More Minute. Keep Yoda, Fat, Stupid, and Couch Potato. Add whatever songs from Lynwood, along with a few old fan favorites, possibly Eat It, Midnight Star, maybe a few others. Add in some new video clips, along with the UHF. What else would you like to see?

I LOVE Amish Paradise, so I'd like to see it live at least one more time before it's retired. (I'm attached to it because it was my first Al I'd ever seen, waaay back in 1996. ^^)
OMM, too, but mainly because I've never gotten a pair of undies during that song, and, dangit, I want a pair!

And I hope WBUL is kept, too.

Definitely lose "Fat" and "Saga Begins" as the closing and encore songs. I would like to see DDtS as the first encore song this time around. Good audience sing-a-long number, like TSB (I don't see why he couldn't still do "Yoda" as encore #2...love that chant!)
Definitely drop "Bedrock Anthem". I'm impartial to "Couch Potato". I wouldn't exactly miss it, but it's so new it seems premature to drop it already. Would kinda like to keep SLN and IAATP. . .those are two of my all-time favorite parodies.
As for older, rarely/never-performed songs, cast my vote for "King of Suede", "Living with a Hernia", "The Check's in the Mail", and for some reason I've always wanted to see him do "Waffle King" live. I know it isn't an across-the-board favorite, but I've always loved it!
My dream concert would include a full rendition of "Albuquerque", "Genius in France" and SPOILER "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" . . .but I doubt I'll ever see any of those done live.
And of course, I hope he has one or two new concert-only songs. He was lacking in those during the last tour. I'm thinking (hoping) we may finally hear quickie parodies of Gwen Stefani and U2 this time around.

I definitely agree on dumping TSB in favor of DDTS. I'd personally still love to see "Fat". It just's an Al concert tradition. Of course, Yoda has to stay. The Yoda Chant must live on!
As for Bedrock Anthem, it wasn't in the setlist for the PH tour, so I doubt he'll bring it back. I'm with you on still seeing SLN and IAATP. I consider those to be concert classics. I'd also love to see "Waffle King" live. That song would be so awesome live!
As for the concert-only songs, I'd love to see some of those too. Gwen Stefani is a good bet. I think it's possible we could see a Kelly Clarkson parody too. After all, if he was ever considering one, she probably wouldn't give him permission, so this would be his only chance.
