I still say that number must be outdated, but yeah, this album is steamrolling Al's last one.

Word Crimes took a nosedive this week, dropping from #39 to #91.

Word Crimes did what it needed to do -- it gave Al a unique distinction, hits in 4 decades. Made even more unique because Al did it with only 4 songs.

Re: Mandatory Fun Chart Watch
Moving into Week 3, Al is predicted to be at #11, but his range is so close to #9 and #8, I think he could easily slip into the top 10.
YOUR TOP 15: Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers will score their first #1 album ever on next week’s chart, while Eric Clapton's J.J. Cale tribute album appears headed for a Top 5 bow—and both releases are prompting scores of classic-rock fans to make an extra stop at the dispensary. Here’s how it looks headed into the weekend:
*Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (Reprise) 100-110k
5 Seconds of Summer (Capitol) 55-60k
*Eric Clapton (Bushbranch/Surfdog) 50-55k
*Shawn Mendes (Island) 43-48k
Frozen (Walt Disney) 30-35k
Sam Smith (Capitol) 28-32k
*Theory of a Deadman (Roadrunner) 25-28k
Kidz Bop Kids (Razor & Tie) 20-22k
Ed Sheeran (Atlantic) 20-22k
Now 50 (NOW) 19-21k
Weird Al Yankovic (RCA) 17-19k
*Jenny Lewis (Warner Bros.) 15-17k
*PARTYNEXTDOOR (OVO/Warner Bros.) 15-17k
Brantley Gilbert (Valory) 14-16k
*Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack (Hollywood) 12-14k
Trey Songz (Atlantic) 12-14k
*NSYNC (RCA) 12-14

Which means that Tom Petty may sell just about as many albums as Al did in his debut week.

Wow. Tom Petty has never had a number one album? That's an even longer wait than Al. And you know what they say about the waiting.

Re: Mandatory Fun Chart Watch
Perhaps even more notable - Al's first week sales are double that of Eric Clapton's?! What is this world we live in??

I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Alicia, if you're upset/confused about Frozen still charting so high, all you have to do is just let it go.
