Al said so in an interview, plus, at AlCon, Suzanne told us that Al likes to eat the occasional grilled cheese sandwich.

:D
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Wow I've been so wrong all this time... <_<

Anyway, I think that an AlCon for Al's 50th birthday would be wonderful!

(BTW, in which interview did Al say that, Patti?)

I believe he said something along the lines of "Having a young daughter and being in a touring rock band, it's kinda hard to not eat pizza all the time."
Talking about music is like fishing about architecture- FZ

When did he say that? If it was an interview, I would love to see it.

It's totally possible, with having over a year and a half to set it up.
thats a GREAT idea :whoot: ! i would LOVE to go! i probably wouldnt be able to.....unless it was fairly close to where i live (montana). so anywhere in Montana i guess. but that would be awesome!
"Did you see Journey to the Center of the Earth?"
"I did!"
"Me neither...wait..."
"You had that planned didn't you?"
"..yeah.."

I honestly don't know, Mary, but it was fairly recent, as in since SOL came out. He said Suzanne convinced him to eat dairy.

ETA:I guess he did say he was vegan in the now found interview I linked further down.

He did say on weirdal.com he tries to avoid eggs and dairy, except now, he's not avoiding the dairy so much.

Ahh there was an interview where he said something on those lines. There was an interview granted to a guy who I think was a competition winner, and who won, presumably because he had the best questions ever. That was the interview where he said Drew Carey asked him to go to Iraq as well. If I recall he said his wife had got him to ease up on the vegan thing. It was backstage at one of the State Fairs I think. Wish I could find it...

I vote to have the Al-con in San Diego.
After all, that's Al's favorite town....

(no. It's not.)

As much fun as an ALCON would be, without anyone to bankroll it and organise it, it's pretty unlikely that it will happen.

I remember there was a topic or two about having another ALCON, and the person who did them previously doesn't have the time or the cashola for another one.
It wouldn't be impossible, but it would be a massive job for someone/a group of people to take on.
The tsunami of immediacy will wash away the flood of grief, and reveal a layer of naive optimism underneath

Well I still think we should do it. I mean, what more could someone want on their birthday than to be surrounded by people who love them? I think it is very possible especially if we have a year and a half to plan it.
