I won't be using any Spoiler tags. However, I will keep whatever concert discussion I put up in their respective topics. In my opinion, if you're reading the show or setlist topics...it should be what the show had in it. I won't post any spoiler info in this topic, since it is a general tour topic. However, I will have spoiler info in a Setlist topic and each respective concert topic. Simple...don't want it, don't read em.

If people confine the east coast set list details to the east coast concert threads, I think you can stay spoiler free.

That's fine, no problem.

But if there's a new song, would it not make sense to create a topic? Or should it go into the spoiler forum. Id say it should go in the music forum because Al is releasing it. But perhaps the mods should way in, that way we det a definate answer

YES, create a new topic. Don't put it in the spoiler forum. It's officially released to it's not a spoiler. If Fred wants to remain spoiler free, then he just has to be careful when on the forum.

You can't possibly be serious....can you? It's a concert for crying out loud, not the ending to a movie or the plot twist in a novel.
What the heck is there to "spoil" about a concert? Are you worried that at the end of the show it's going to be revealed that Al is Bermuda's father?

I remember back during the first week of the Straight Outta Lynwood tour regretting knowing ahead of time I'd be seeing Albuquerque performed when Al said he found it very unlikely to perform during Touring With Scissors. Peeking at your presents can't be undone, y'know?

I think he means he wants the authenticity of being able to go to a concert and be surprised with what they play. A feat not easily conquered nowadays, but I commend him for it.
If you know every song and word Al sings/says during the show it doesn't feel like the authentic feeling you get when you walk into something completely unaware of what might happen. It makes the experience ten times better.

But it's just a concert, you go to listen to music, that's all, It's not exactly a spiritually enlightening experience. If knowing what songs are going to be played in any way effects your enjoyment of the show, then you've got some messed up priorities. That's like saying you went to an A-Ha concert and it wasn't as good because you read on the internet before the show that they ended with an encore of Take On Me. That's a completely ludicrous line of thinking.

OK then. While some can appreciate your frankness, plenty of us are going to be more comfortable discussing this in a more respectful manner, thank you. Share your opinions, but just know that it's never the idea. It's the pitch.
...and for what it's worth- there ARE pleasant surprises especially with new material being unveiled as well as which songs catering to the hardcore fans will be played.
Now I invite any of us to fluidly segue us back on track.
