I'm thinking that he could cut into the last week of June, and maybe a bit into September (possibly). If the demand is high enough (although they probably have done most of the planning already), it could be stretched out a bit. If only he could make it the unlikely 72 shows for 2009, making the total an even 1100.

I saw him there at the Stranahan in 96, but I missed him at the Zoo's Amphitheatre when he was there.

Be that as it may, NW Ohio, or, preferably, SE Michigan works for me.

I know I said it before, but if this is the September when Nina starts kindergarten, I doubt Al will want to be on the road then.

I hope he goes to the Beacon Theater again, in Manhattan. I wasn't able to go last year because I had seen him at the Westbury Music Fair and really didn't know. But if he plays at the Beacon again I'll be the first to buy my ticket.

This might be a stupid question, but:
On the SOL 2007 tour, was any of the band absent?
With this thought, could Al expand these tour dates if he replaces a band member?

Al has had the same band (minus Ruben) for twenty five years, I doubt he's gonna replace one just to squeeze in a few more venues...

That would be sweet.
So would a return trip to the Keswick Theatre.

I think the question was more like if Steve or Jim had to miss a show or two due to other projects, as they have been known to do occasionally on previous tours.
But no, all five members were present at every single show last year.
Besides, I don't think the actual make-up of the band would have anything to do with the proposed length of the tour or where they would be booked at.
