The Darkness are on Atlantic.

Also, has AL ever parodied someone off of Atlantic?
Kid Rock (polka)
Led Zeppelin (unreleased parody)
Matchbox Twenty (polka)
Metallica (polka)

are all on Atlantic...for some reason I want to add Genesis, Rush and Stone Temple Pilots.

Not to mention that "Polkamon" was released on a CD on Atlantic Records...

Well, Atlantic owns (or owned at one point, I don't know if they still do) about half of Interscope records which encompuses quite a few large artists -- Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Marilyn Manson, anyone signed to Shady or Aftermath, maaaaaaaybe those signed to G-Unit records...

I know Al made fun of that "I Can't Dance" Genesis video, and polkaed Phil Collins, and he put STP in a polka medley, but I don't recall him doing anything as far as Rush is concerned.

I thought that Al was going to do a Polka with a bunch of Led Zepplin songs? Hmm...maybe I'm mistaken. :lookaround:

I believe that was something wished for/speculated in another thread, but for now, the only one I am aware of is "Whole Lotta Lunch" I'm sure if there are others, someone will add 'em :)

The Ask Al Archive wrote: Kevin Brockway Jr. of Greenwich, N.Y. 12834 asks: Are you a fan of the classic rock band Led Zeppelin at all? If you are, you could polka versions of some of their songs. Since you did a polka version of the Queen song "Bohemian Rhapsody", you could do "Stairway to Heaven" or "Dazed and Confused" or something, I think you sound cool if you did polka versions of Zeppelin tunes, don't you?

Oddly enough, a few years ago Jimmy Page called my office to get some copies of my videos, so I knew he was a fan. Unfortunately, when I asked him shortly after that how he'd feel about my doing a Led Zeppelin polka medley, he was less than thrilled with the prospect, so I didn't pursue it.

Hahaha. I just found that. :Y

Oh, and, "Topic? :stern: "

I've always wanted to say that... :F

Here is the (I believe) complete list of current Atlantic artists Al has tackled in released songs:

Kid Rock (Angry White Boy Polka)
Matchbox Twenty (Polka Power!)
Metallica (Polka Your Eyes Out)
P.O.D. (Angry White Boy Polka)
Phil Collins (Polka Party!)
Staind (Angry White Boy Polka)
Stone Temple Pilots (The Alternative Polka)

This is of course not to mention Lil Kim and Notorious B.I.G., who both co-wrote "It's All About the Benjamins" with Puff Daddy, and the Interscope artists Ryan mentioned.
