Ahhh, good times with the commentary...

I am so happy because for my research project, we need creative sources, and for mine which is on TV and Movie Acting, I am able to use UHF as one of them!

It works well on cold days with a hot beverage or soup. When the lights are off and Al and Jay talk about everything, you just feel good inside.

I finally got around to watching UHF with the commentary tonight, and it was awsome. It told a lot of interesting stories about the production of the movie and had me laughing a lot. It was great.

Does anyone have a VHS of UHF that is (still) in great condition--both the case and the tape? Just curious.

The commentary is good and informative, but also a bit annoying. At times it seems hard to tell if something is true or if Al and Jay were just joking. Al said some things that contradict what he's said in "ask Al", like how he mentions that most people think that kid actually spit on him, but computer effects were used and half the budget was spent on that (of course, he is probably just referencing the special effects for Titanic). In an "ask al", he said that the kid really did spit on him. And when Emo Phillips join in, they make it sound like Emo Phillips really did have his thumb cut off, which Al mentioned in an "ask al", but I assume that both were jokes (I've noticed that Emo's hand looks fake when the thumb is missing).

I have one, I believe it is in ok condition as I haven't watched it for a few years.
Just keep it for old times sake now I have the DVD.

By the way, my DVD audio is l bit out of sync in a few places, is this because I have a dud DVD or because of the quality of the original film? (ie does anyone else have this problem)

weird user - I think those were jokes, but there is plenty of other interesting & trivial information within the commentary IMHO.

I don't own UHF, but I have that same problem with my TWAS. Hmmm...
