I was just watching an episode of The Simpsons on my Season 9 DVD set with the commentary on and in it they joked about how they've had a lot of extreamly big and famous guest stars, including all of the surviving The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones, amongst others, and yet how the three guest stars that they were most excited to get were Mr. T, Al, and the guy who played Gollum.

Wow, cool! And I didn't know Gollum was played by a gut! I thought it was Andy Serkiss.

Whoops, I meant to say "guy" and just mistyped and didn't catch the error. I'll go fix that.....

I havent seen the Simpsons episode with Al in it yet. The UK is still behind in showing the recent series on TV. I will have to buy the box set instead.

You don't have to wait until Season 14 comes out on DVD to see it. The syndicated version appears on "The Simpsons Kiss And Tell" DVD which is a cheesey compilation of episodes, some of which are out already on DVD and some of which (including Al's episode) aren't out yet.
