Though FU is already a style parody, Weird Al could twist it to his liking. Where did you guys read that Weird Al rejected the idea?

My rationale: Wiz Khaliifa is a brand new artist who's already been on the cover of Rolling Stone. It's sort of a Chamillionaire-esque choice because it's not an extremely big hit, but it's one that's representative of where rap/pop is at the moment, ie the whole Lupe Fiasco, Wale, Kid Cudi "indie rapper" style. The song itself is structured in such a way that lend themselves to a good parody. And check out the Black and Yellow music video to see how easy the costume/new look/music video would be.

Carnac agrees with TMBJon that "Black and Yellow" is a likely lead parody target. Carnac also thinks that "Wiz Khalifa" must be the noise that Nicki Minaj makes when her panties are too tight.

Also, Killingsworth knows how much some of you grow weary of the rap/R&B charts constantly being mined by Al for parody fodder, but he realizes (as most of you should by now) that Al doesn't quite have the vocal range of most female singers (see "A Complicated Song") so he tries to stick with male singers for the parodies and saves the ladies for the polkas (where he has more freedom to change key as he sees fit) and if indie rap/R&B is the most universally recognized thing in the music scene at the moment, than so be it. This probably had some influence over the Chamillionaire decision and may also influence Al to tie an older classic rock song to something a bit more current on this album.

Oooh! It's "Black and Yellow"! I always thought there was an annoying kid in the background yelling: "Packing Jello! Packing Jello!"

*still* hoping for a Born This Way parody.. despite what Al said to Jon.

What better way is there to keep a secret than NOT TELL JON KATZ, after all ? ;)

Haha... Yeah, I mean I wouldn't completely rule out Born This Way. It very well could have been his way of throwing everyone off, OR he could have just reconsidered it after a few weeks. (He told me that only a few days after the song was released.)

In light of recent forum events, I'm hereby recommending that Lady Gaga change the title of the song to "Chose This Way".

It really would make more sense that way. The way it's written, it's just a ridiculous song.

On whether Al would parody it, I wouldn't trust Jon's word on if the sun was shining on a certain day, much less anything concerning music. So, none of that means anything to me. I really hope Al stays away from the song. There are much more popular songs out there that would fit him better.
