Al inspired me to get off my butt, stop whining, and go out looking for a job, inspired me to save my money and spend it on something to look forward to (a trip to California) which helps me to maintain a positive mental attitude, he inspired me to take a training course to improve my prospects, he inspired me to eat more healthily and take more exercise, and he inspired me to be more self confident and a nicer person all round. I'm 100% a better person than I was 5 years ago. Mainly he inspired me to stop saying "I Can't" and replace it with "I'm gonna give it my best shot".. and I am going to SMILE and talk to people..
Yeah. Al has a lot to answer for

That's awesome, Louise! Yeah, my self-esteem and confidence have improved greatly, due to my Al fandom. I'm singing in a band, fercryinoutloud! I think doing the stand-up routine was the thing that really boosted my confidence, and things just went from there.
Oh and I'm eating healthier, too. Thanks to Al, I wanna weigh 127.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

Congrats Patti, but you've never looked heavy to me anyway...algonacchick @ February 01, 2009 12:45 am wrote: That's awesome, Louise! I love you. Seriously, I used to weigh 171 lbs. I just don't like to post those pictures. I only have a few from those days, like when I did the cake for Moonbeam's wedding. *which was awesome* I have about 19 lbs to go to get to my goal.

I agree with Louise though, Patti! I think you look just fine the way you are, but getting healthy is always a good goal! Congrats on the weight loss and here's rooting for you to get to your goal!

I like all animals...well except for monkeys, because they climb all over your face and slap you!

Al essentially inspired me to learn the guitar... and accordion.
I'm not too good at either, but I do want to be able to fluently play at least one. I kind of at least want to learn the basics of the accordion, since I've been able to get my hands on one.
I also owe my musical interests to my dad and Weird Al. But it turns out a lot of Weird Al's favorite songs/artists are my dad's favorites too. I was introduced to Nirvana and Oingo Boingo through my dad. Then Al helped me gain even more interest in them and a lot of others.
I hope (even though I doubt it will happen) that I can find a band that is somewhere close to being as talented as Al's, so I can spread my musical favorites with the world by touring. But that would take a lot of effort, and again, it most likely won't happen...
