Yeah, I saw that, too. I guess it doesn't make much sense to have a link for fans to vote for him when he's not up for voting anymore.

He's not eligable anymore? Darn after the last show from 2006 i forgot to go back and vote when the show was back on again. I rememberd a few days ago when i turned on the tv and saw the show was on and i didnt see him when they were doing the recap. Is there any way we can bring it back

He's no longer on the list, plus, he removed the blurb about voting for White and Nerdy from his myspace, so I guess we have to face up to the fact that his run on the countdown is over. It's a shame he couldn't go the whole 20 weeks.

I'm not even sure why its over. Does someone know? I went to vote, like he asked on his myspace, and he wasn't on the list. There was a wildcard thing that allowed you to add the artist's name and video and see if it would make it, but I suppose not enough people did for it to be on the countdown.

It's over because VH1 wants it to be over. They removed Al's video without any explanation. There was really no reason at all to remove the video. It never dipped below #7 and spent several weeks at #1.

I think we pretty much proved that the wildcard votes are totally ignored. I wouldn't be surprised if the votes went to straight to /dev/null. The first week his video was removed, there is no doubt in my mind that we, collectively, voted enough times for it to place on the countdown.

I just hope Al realizes the only reason W&N is no longer on the countdown is because of VH1, and that it is in no way reflective of "real-life" or of the opinions of his fans.

I'm sure he does realize it. Al knows how media marketing works, and he really really knows his fans.

Hi Dave, Al is an intelligent human being, and I dont believe that he thinks its the fans fault over VH1 countdown. He has been reading comments, so he is in touch with fans opinions, and the media etc. At least VH1 gave Al the chance (even exposure on the Big In 06 show), far better than biased MTV! You are right that VH1 had no reason to drop W&N and Im disappointed with them for that.
