It's really great that Al was given the chance to articulate the dilemma in a little more detail (way to go NPR!). At least now we know not to hate Mr. Blunt...well, at least for
this.

Atlantic Records just earned themselves a permenant spot at the top of The List....I think they should be #1, followed by Eminem, then Prince

I actually think Prince should rank higher than Eminem on that list. After all, Eminem at least gave Al permission to parody his song. Prince won't even allow
that much.

Yes, but because of Eminem, Al didn't have a video for PH, which could potentially have hurt album sales [did it?], all Prince has done has denied Al permission for a parody, which I don't think has caused any delays or real troubles...that's why i ranked Em higher

I love Al. Atlantic Records sucks.
Eminem is higher up on the snarky list because he denied Al a video, while Prince is evading it all together-- instead of letting him make a song and then crush the hopes of a video. Less of a build up and let down with Prince.
but man, Atlantic--- not making any new customers anytime soon.

Totally agree on Eminem over Prince because, fine, who wants to parody Prince anyway, but to agree in such a half-***ed way as Eminem did and make Al go through all of the trouble with far less of the payback is just evil. And yeah, Atlantic is pretty close to the top of entities I don't approve of (aka HATE HATE HATE). Not at the top due to oh, Adolf Hitler.

I'm happy to see Al "fighting the MAN" as it were.
Also, Eminem is worse because he's also a hypocrite. He does a lot of parody in his own videos of other artists, yet can't take it himself.
