Hey, Dr. Dad! nice to see ya! :w

Now that I look at that picture, that guy doesn't look that much like Tony Geary after all. I'm almost ashamed I thought it was him. :S Well, we could always Ask Al who it was, right?

That would of course be the souped-up box set with the videos (with commentary), "The Compleat Al," and "There's No Going Home."

Come on Volcano, dip into your Al properties.

Oh, don't feel too bad about it. Take pride in the fact that you even know who he is. There are so many ignorant people out there who aren't familiar with any stars outside of the Brad Pitts, Tom Cruises, and Julia Robertsesezes.

Thanks for posting those screencaps, Doc! :bigups: I had noticed that guy was also in "Headline News," so it's safe to assume he's a (fairly) close personal friend of Al. However, I tried searching for the cast and crew of both videos and came up empty-handed. I agree with Patti that this would be a good question for "Ask Al" (or possibly "Ask Jim"? I don't know how much Jim intermingles with the cast and crew of the videos.)

Knowing Al, it could have been a relative. They're known for their cheap labor.

Question: The guy with the dog puppet in the Headline News video. Is he supposed to be David Horowitz?

Maybe. I just thought he was some guy who escaped from the asylum.

Sorry for changing the subject, and this may have already been said, but I just found something cool and kind of creepy! I was, for some reason, going through the Living with a Hernia in slow motion and I found a split-second clip of the original James Brown clip. It's right after Al's spinning at the microphone, and right before the second set of fireworks and the "Now I--live with a hernia.." I was like " :oo WT-- HUH?!" because it was so brief and it was all dark and creepy. My mom said that maybe Al "taped over" the original James Brown clip, but then why would he do that? It might be an easter egg... |) I tried to get a clip, but my DVD screen cap isn't working, so I took a picture of my TV:

It's not very good, and it really doesn't look a whole lot different than Al, but if someone could get a clear screen cap of that, that'd be awesome. Still, it's kinda creepy to me... :?

Now, about David Horowitz...

 Oh, sure, the flash is "conveniently" is obscuring James Brown's face, huh? :P That picture reminds me of all those alien or Bigfoot pictures.

"I took a picture of Bigfoot. Look!"
"You mean that out of focus thing way in the background?"
"Yeah, that's Bigfoot!"
"Why is he wearing sneakers?"
"Uh, never mind that... :lookaround:"

It may be possible that a frame from the original James Brown video slipped in there somehow during the editing process. I'll have to check it in slow motion out next time I get the chance and see if I see what you see.

Fine...DON'T believe me...just because I own a shirt that says "I make stuff up" people assume that I make stuff up...Geez... <_<

:P

Seriously, I wouldn't make this up. I was watching in it pretty slow motion, probably slower than most DVD players, so you might not notice it if you go faster, because it's so split-second, it goes just like *snaps fingers for symbolic imagery* that.

You think I'm crazy, dontcha? Well, I'm not the crazy one, oh, no-siree Bob is not a video!, YOU, my friends, are the crazy ones!
HAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!! MWWUHAAAHAHAHAHAHA!! HAAHAHAHAHAAHHAH-- *cough* *cough* *cough*...
