Yeah, I'm thinking that the whole Paramount to Cedar Fair switchover thing was what killed Al coming back. Those were my favorite shows. I LOVED the Kings Island Al show. Kings Island is actually where I got my first Smells Like Nirvana cup when I was a kid. And the other show there, I have amazing memories of the torrential downpour delaying the concert. Waiting through it with my cousin. Then, the last time I was there, getting passes from Jim for myself and my friends. Going backstage to the trailer behind the Timberwolf and being one of the last ones out of the park that night. Amazing memories.

My first 3 Al concerts were at Kings island. I never really figured out how to find the busses, heck i was so young i probably didnt even know it was an option. But at 1 i touched him during OMM, at another one my friend and I had to be walked out by security cuz we kept trying to go backstage. Everytime he played there i wanted to go there for the day so i could try to find him riding a ride or go onto Congo Falls a bunch so we could see them rehearse. Fun times

Haha, my first time at Kings Island, which actually would have been my 2nd Al show, I rode Congo Falls all throughout soundcheck, so that I could watch it. I was soaked, but I got to see Al!!! :D

That day, I also saw Al walking through the park while we were eating at a restaurant.

Still wit all these new dates he just now announced there is nothing at all anywhere in Ohio. WHats going on here, as long as i have been a fan he has always gone somewhere in Ohio but there is not one date. Hopefully it has nothing to do with the horrible turnout that was at the Riverbend date back in May.

Haha, maybe Ohio is on the blacklist now to like West Virginia is due to our horrible turnout at my 1st show ever!

Nah, I'm sure that if Beacon on the 23rd is the last, that they'll book an OH for sometime next summer.

Pardon me for asking, and my apologies for going off topic, but how is it that you have so much free time and money to travel and go to all these shows? Do you not have work or family obligations that you must commit to? Are you independently wealthy and don't have to worry about the cost of traveling and concert tickets, and just chose to spend your wealth traveling the country to see the exact same show every night? Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic or mean spirited or anything of the sort, I'm just really curious as to what your situation is. I know it's really not my business, but I'm just interested in knowing.
