By the way, not sure if he even reads this forum anymore, but Tony Goldmark, you planning on going to this?

Already got my ticket! See you there!

Especially in comparison to Flea's. Man, does he ever get overexcited! He's quite cringe-worthy in the Chili Peppers live album/DVD.

Nothing explicitly says Kim won't be there, it just says Flea is "filling in" on bass. It could be the entire band. Who knows?

On-again-off-again Pixies are currently touring behind the 20th anniversary of "Doolittle," the album that "I Bleed" is from. Kim Deal was on tour with the rest of the band, so I'd say there's a good chance she will be playing with Black Francis next month too.

Thanks Patti :)

Judging (unfairly, I know) just on the song "I Bleed" I can't say I am rushing to hear more

My favorite Pixies song is "Here Comes Your Man," personally.

Why would you judge a band based on one obscure album track?

Listen to "Monkey's Gone To Heaven" "Debaser" "Here Comes Your Man" "Where Is My Mind" or my personal favorite "Gouge Away" then get back to me.

Recent performance of The Pixies playing "I Bleed" here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ntq37InC ... r_embedded. Very fat-looking Kim Deal playing bass.
