yeah, I remember her from Phone Booth. She was good! But what was she in in the 80s. I assume she must have done something back then to warrant being on the special. Right?
Then again, BNL and Hanson were on the show too.

I'm guessing some of the people that are commenting are just people that grew up in/remember the 80's. Mandy Moore and The Donnas have been interviewed, they were too young to have done anything in the 80's.

You know what that means, now with two I love the 80's out of the way with no Al (In the actual 80's segmants)

Al was in the first run of I Love The 80s. He had a regular segment called "Then and Now." He also commented on a few of the items throughout the rest of the show. Not many, but a few.

No, I meant the segmants in the actual 80's review, like with the Fox network and Pop Rocks and whatever else the hell they've talked about
(A UHF segmant would've been nice, with Gedde there and all)

Was Al as a cultural phenomenon ever addressed in either ILT80s or ILT80sSB?

No.
I've seen all of ILT80s and most of ILT80sSB and no mention of Al in general.

How can that possibly be? See? This is why I have such a love/hate thing for VH1. On the one hand, they are very supportive of our boy. On the other hand, at times they act like he doesn't exist.
What's up, VH1?

Well, it's
so clear to see the cultural importance of dancing flowers over Al. I mean, they're flowers! And they dance!!!!!1!!1!

Al pops in the series a couple other times, other than in the "Then and Now" parts. I don't recall them all, or even what years they were in, but one of his funnier comments he made was on the "SuperBowl Shuffle". He talks about how talented the football players are in singing and dancing  . I love I love the 80s. It is great.
