I'm probably the last one to notice this, but I just added weirdal.com to my Favorites today (yeah, it's true, I've actually never done that before today... :shocked: :lookround:) and upon going into my Favorites, the usual Internet Explorer "e" has changed into a red and yellow "AL"

Thanks for sharing Dave,
I've had wa.com on my "Favorites" list for quite some time, but after reading your post I clicked to add it again and let it override the original and to my delight- I too now have a glowing red/yellow AL!
This is WAY cool- first Jons update with the awesome pics and fanart and now this! BTW Dave...........Al's Elvis tattoo is just too funny! :biggrin:

BTW, I forgot to mention, if you have a copy of VH1's "Driven" from July of 2002 on tape, you can catch a few glimpses of Joe Earley, as well as Joel Miller and several of Al's other college cohorts. Believe it or not, Joe is an LA attorney now!

El, I looked at my copy of the "'Weird Al' Yankovic" vinyl LP, and there are no song writing credits whatsoever on the back of the album. However, on the center label on the vinyl LP, the writing credit for "Gotta Boogie" is listed simply as "A. Yankovic", just like "Buckingham Blues", "Happy Birthday", "The Check's In The Mail", "I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead", "Such A Groovy Guy", and "Mr. Frump In The Iron Lung". The back of the vinyl album does list the performers and "Special thanks to:" folks, just like the CD does.
Oddly enough, on the label of the Placebo 45 ITSELF, it only lists under "Gotta Boogie" for writing credit the name "Al Yankovic". Why Joe is credited on the 45 jacket and not the 45 I'm not sure, unless because Al did all the music and [likely] most of the words, he was ultimately given solo writing credit. I've seen NO OTHER song on ANY 45 or LP of Al's where co-writing credit was put in black & white -- except on the Placebo jacket where I showed you earlier.
[smells another "Ask Al" Q when it comes back online again ... hmmm ....]

Doesn't the whole thing kind of have the flavor (oops, sorry, shouldn't use that word in this context) of a couple of college kids who have stayed up way too late goofing around on their instruments and are getting kind of slap-happy as a result?

I've had weirdal.com in my favorites for a long time, too, and I just decided to re-do it *delete it from favorites, then go there and add it again* and viola! I got the red and yellow Al!

Yep, mine disappeared too. I wonder if it has something to do with cleaning out the cache, or deleting the History. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, I'll probably take weirdal.com out of my Favorites anyway.
