This was the first Weird Al concert that I had been to. I meant to see him at Six Flags, but things didn't line up for it. Our seats weren't great (balcony, with some contraption blocking our view of the center screen). We were able to see the stage fine, and the two side screens were easily visible. We were also among the first to see Al, since we had a decent view of the area he had to walk through to get to the backstage area.
Afterwards, we met up with some friends at the same Denny's where the stormtroopers squadron met up. They got seats right next to us, and all had on their black and red shirts and some still had their Weird Al passes.
All in all, great show and great night.

Sorry for my 2nd post in a row, but needed to quote the review.
There is one glaring omission from this set list, and I'm not sure what it is called. At one point during the show (I think it was after Yoda, but not sure), they began singing all kinds of random bits and noises together with arm movements. I was amazed that all of them could memorize all of that, especially since it seemed to go on and on and on.

That'd be the Yoda Chant. Quite a lot of *us* know it by heart too! LOL

oh, it's quite simple to memorize if you break it up by section.

It was a great show, and although I was disappointed he didn't make it to St. Louis during the first go on his tour, I think this show has been his best I've seen so far. Nearly 2 1/2 hours!

*bump*
My friend Maggie's husband is in the 501st, and she emailed me back in July about how Dave (her hubby) was going onstage with Weird Al in August! She got the ok to take photos, so here they are:
St. Charles 501st experience!
It is a lot of backstage pix (Maggie's hubby would be the stormtrooper trying to use the hand dryer) but she got some nice concert photos as well, including a nice one of Jon!
Enjoy!

Very nice! The 70th Explorers seem to have a trooper with them who's a real veteran.
