The show itself was fantastic, though there was some minor sound problems here and there. Right as Al started singing for Bedrock Anthem, his mic wasnt working, so you couldnt hear the first line very much. Steve and Jim's mics werent working too well for White & Nerdy either. At times you could hear them, other times you couldnt. Oh, and the spotlight stayed on at the end of the song for about 30 seconds while Al and the band just stood there still waiting for it to go out...finally Al just shrugged and walked off. haha...it was a great moment.
Perfect night all around for me until we got back to the room. Dan's camera decided to corrupt my picture with Al. Of all the concert pictures it had to choose from to corrupt, it decides to corrupt my pic with Al. I did get to see it before the camera decided to mangle the file though...it turned out AWESOME..... >:S
Ive tried doing some file recovery on it...but...not much to recover when the file is 0 MB. UGHH. I got awesome...non-corrupted pictures with Steve, Ruben, and Jim though. I commented on Steve's hat right before Dan was about to take our picture, and Steve was asked me if I wanted to wear one, because he had a second one on the bus. So he put the picture on hold and made a trip over to the bus to grab a second near identical hat for me to wear for the picture. It was really cool. I was wearing my bowling shirt like Al's, and had him sign some of the pins for me...one he signed "Steve", and one right und- I mean, ABOVE it, "Jay"...so it looks more like a Jay Steve signature. haha. I also had Ruben sign the shirt, which I figured he'd just sign one of the pins with Ruben...wrong. He signed his name, with each letter having its own pin...then of coarse Andy jokingly suggest writing his last name too...so of coarse Ruben is like OKAY! So I got the same deal with his last name as well. Meeting Ruben was a real treat. He's very very tough to keep up with though! Man...the guy has so much energy and is so spontaneous, joking around. It was real intense and a lot of fun! Met Jim very briefly, had him sign a DTBS tape for my friend (Steve signed it as well), and we posed for a pic.
Al comes out about 2 hours later. It was a very nice quick meet with him sitting on the stairs of the bus. He commented on my shirt, and I told him that I was sorry for sneaking backstage...then having the band vandalize it. He laughed at that...I made him laugh. Im happy.

He was in very good spirits, not quite as soft spoken as I'm used to him being when Ive met him. Then we posed for a picture...err...a GREAT picture...now wiped from existence...I told him that it was my 17th show, and my last one until next tour, and he said "I'll see ya then", shook his hand again, and said goodbye.
Right before I met Al I talked to Hammer a little bit. He commented on my shirt...then started yelling out to the crew standing around "Hey we got a guy over here that snuck into wardrobe and stole Al's shirt!" haha, it was fun meeting him. I hope he's back next tour.
We ended up talking to Steve again for a while before the bus left...and just like in Des Moines, and Davenport last year, the crew had to come out and get him so they could leave. haha. I got a hug from Steve and we called it a night.
It was awesome fun hanging out with you again Alexis! I'm sure I'll see ya around next tour! :Andy...have fun with that paper clip that almost took off Ruben's finger. haha. Kaffy...once again we didn't get to meet...I didn't even see you there actually...hm...well, next tour! And Jeremy, of coarse...thanks again for everything buddy...giving us a ride to the show. Never a dull time hanging out with ya...hopefully we can team up and do some more serious tourchasing.
Was a great ending for my SOL tourchasing! I had a blast during the show...great center 3rd row seats. I never expected the meet & greet that we got...very nice closing for the night. I can't wait till next time!
