i'll be wearing my blinding orange hawaiin shirt and orange converse all-stars, no pants. okay maybe pants. i have somewhat long-ish brown hair and a goattee (technically a 'van dyke'), and buddy holly glasses.

i look forward to meeting ya'll.

I forgot to say I'd also be wearing the "27" earrings and pendant I bought from Autumn. I'm going to keep them safely tucked in my fannypack until I finish riding the coasters; I don't want to go flying off and nailing someone in the eye!

Excitement level building!! Only 2 days to go until the show. I'll be there, along with my son and wife, and we will all be wearing the custom Weasel Stomping Day shirts I made.

Cannot wait - ROW 4 man this is going to be great!

Oops, sorry about that. We're in Section C. One more day!!! Oh, and it seems that my girlfriend will also be wearing glow-stick earrings and maybe some other glow stuff, so just look for the radioactive green glow!

Comedian "Weird Al" Yankovic -- best known for his dead-on parodies of pop hits and his creative polka medleys -- comes to the Carowinds Paladium Amphitheatre Saturday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m. The tour features Weird Al's first Billboard Top 10 album, Straight Outta Lynwood, and single "White & Nerdy," a parody of the Chamillionaire song, "Ridin'." Since his self-titled debut album in 1983, Yankovic has made a career out of poking fun at top musicians. With more than 12 million albums sold and more than 150 parody and original songs recorded, he is widely considered the best-selling novelty song producer in the world. Yankovic's live act features medleys of his most famous parodies and multiple costume changes, giving audiences the ultimate "Weird Al" experience.

Thanks to radio host Dr. Demento, Yankovic broke into the novelty song business in 1979 with "My Bologna," a parody of The Knack's tune "My Sharona." Throughout the '80s and '90s, he was a familiar face on MTV with his elaborate music video parodies of pop icons, from Madonna to Puff Daddy. Carowinds has extended its summer operating hours! From July 29-Aug 19, the park will close at 10 p.m. every Sunday through Friday, along with our normal 10 p.m. Saturday closing. "he is widerly-regarded as the world's best-selling novelty song producer in the world"? record sales are a pretty concrete thing, he either is or he ain't (and of course, he is). nice writing they've got there.

I've got everything ready to go! I'm going to try and leave around 7:30AM so I can get to the park around the time it opens, before the crowds get too bad. If you see a woman with long, brown hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing black jeans, an SOL album cover concert tee with a really, really bright Hawiian-style shirt over it, that'll be me!

Um, it actually says "widely considered", and that's a pretty concrete statement, if you ask me.

um, i may have been in a hurry and misquoted that word, but 'regarded' and 'considered', used like they both are here, are synonyms. 'considered' still implies opinion, not fact.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that Robo. Although, I don't think they were meaning to slight Al..I think they just worded it in a different way. It was still a little bit complimentinent.

I'm here just a little bit outside of Carowinds at a Days Inn. Getting ready to leave for the show...Hope to see you all there! Should be another great show and experience, and hopefully meeting Al after the show will change..since before's most likely unlikely here. Who knows, though.I got lucky the last time here. Maybe I will again.
