yes, I HATE that BIG COSTUMED PARODY / VIDEO / BIG COSTUMED PARODY / VIDEO / etc set that they've been doing pretty much since the Deep End tour. I realize that some songs are full band costume songs, and so require videos at both ends, but they really shouldn't be bunched together like that. Every tour in the last 15 years had that pattern 4 times in a row, and that's the one pattern in Al's setlists which I'd love to see changed.

BTW - it was mentioned earlier in the thread, but Frank's 2000 Inch TV WAS performed during the first couple weeks of the Alapalooza Tour, but was dropped to add Headline News into the set by the time the band made it to Connecticut.

Oh, and one thing I left off. Start the Encore with Let Me Be Your Hog, and then segue straight into DDTS.

This is a more logical setlist:

You’re Pitiful
Polkarama
I’ll Sue Ya
Why Does This Always Happen To Me
Don’t Download This Song
Virus Alert
One More Minute
Canadian Idiot
Do I Creep You Out
Wanna B Ur Lovr

Medley:
Trapped In the Drive Thru Pt.1, Jerry Springer, Pretty Fly For A Rabbi, Trapped In The Drive Thru Pt. II, Ode To A Superhero, Confessions Pt. III, A Complicated Song, Trapped In the Drive Thru, Pt. III, Eat It

Smells Like Nirvana
Bedrock Anthem
Amish Paradise
Couch Potato
White & Nerdy
Fat
The Saga Begins
Yoda

I think if Al really wanted to, he could do Trapped In The Drive Thru in the Medley in 3 parts.

He should play I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead or The Check's in the Mail.

I don't think it's that logical to do three love songs in one concert, especially so close to each other, or to have 3 rap songs in a row (and besides, Bedrock Anthem is retired...why would they bring it back after just one tour of it being dead?)

I have a good feeling that Why Does This Always Happen to Me would only be performed with Ben Folds.

I think they could pull off WDTAHTM without Ben. Ruben's a very capable keyboard player. I'm sure he could handle it. It would be absolutely awesome if Al performed that one.

I'd love to see these:

You Make Me
Don't Wear Those Shoes
Trigger Happy
Happy Birthday

Plus Hardware Store with a video and audio in the background during the long list.

I can dream.

I don't know if Ruben, or more precisely, his synthesizer, would be capable of emulating Ben's style and sound.

Yes!

My real dream is for him one day to do a bunch of shows with nearly all originals. I think his act sells his songwriting short.

Well, it probably wouldn't sound exactly the same, but I think a good enough job could be done where it would at least sound very similar.
