Anyways, thanks for all of the great suggestions so far, guys. If you can think of any more, I'm always open to suggestions for such an important matter. I haven't played any of the songs for him yet, but I'll probably be able to with in the next few weeks.

I teach music and have a pre-K class. It's really amazing what kids will enjoy and be able to learn. While he may not fully understand some things as an adult would, I never think one should skimp on what we play for them. Kids at that age will say words just because they like the sound of them. I believe it was a five year old that sang the "Dukes of Hazard Theme Song" for me in class once, word per word because Dad liked the movie. Just be sure the language is ok with Mom and Dad.

I'd have to check the words, but "Slime Creatures from Outer Space" was always one of my favorites. Usually I am not four though, I am more like a 13 year old.

I have two sons under 5 years old, and they go crazy for Grapefruit Diet. Great participation song too, as anyone can yell out "DIET!" at the right time... even a two year old.

Their favorite from the new album is I'll Sue Ya. That started out as one of my least favorites on SOL, but has grown on me since the kids request it so often.

Others the kids like a lot,

Eat It
The White Stuff
Fat
Harvey The Wonder Hamster
Bedrock Anthem
eBay
and of course... Yoda

Many small children I know immensely enjoy Albuquerque. Especially the last bits. And many of my aunts and uncles, the parents of said children, now immensely dislike me. :lookaround:

Do I mean it? You decide.

My personal list of songs to avoid for a four yr. old

Albequerque
Weasle Stomping Day (maybe my 5 yr. old is just over sensitive but she really can't handle it)
The Night Santa Went Crazy (any version)
WBUL
Good Old Days
Nature Trail to Hell
Phony Calls ( unless you want him running around yelling "has anyone seen my CROTCH?")
Jerry Springer)

If I think of anymore I'll let ya know. Just as a parent, these are ones we skip over with our younger daughter. Jana can listen to them now though.

Songs that other people said not to play that I think you should:

Here's Johnny- My kids love it even if they have no idea who Ed is.
Virus Alert- My 5 yr. old thinks you don't want to email grandma your corn.

Pancreas is one that I think would be great for you to show him. Anyway, that's my 27 cecnts.
