Re: Polka Party: the little Album that could.

Post by Grom »

What I think of "Good Enough for Now" is that Al came perilously close that time to writing an actual love song.

I thought "You Make Me" was classified as a love song.

'You make me wanna slam my head against a wall'

What girl wouldn't give their heart to a guy that says that to them?

See, now we're going off topic...

Back to polkas...

Does Al write the polkas so that one can dance a polka to them?

Health warning: Don't burn every polka onto a CD and listen to it at night. The activeness of the songs will keep you up. Trust me.

Man, I don't know if you could actually polka to a WAY polka because even as bouncy as your basic polka is... Al revs it way up in tempo.

Hee! I don't have them burnt onto a CD, but I do have a playlist of all the Polkas on my windows media player. Who needs coffee, just give me the Polkas!

I've learned it's not always a good idea to listen to prolonged periods of Al music if you want to sleep anytime soon. I've had wild dreams with loud accordion music playing in my head. I've also noticed that if I listen to Al for more than 1 hour, it affects me exactly the same as caffeine and sugar -- a bit agitated, but in a better mood.

:onfire: Hi, this is Seva, Weird Al's Russian fan (the only one, I suppose(but I hope not)).

Let's just say that I love ALl polka medleys, but Bohemian Polka is just a MASTERPIECE!!! I wonder why Al doesn't perform it in his concerts.

Naming a "favorite polka" is almost too hard(it's like naming a favorite album!), but I'm going to go with either "Bohemian Polka" or "Polka Party!"

I think I've decided that Polkamon is my favorite polka. It's the only original one, and it makes me grin like a maniac.

That's a good thing. Isn't it? :choon:

I'm still having a hard time deciding. Each polka has a part that makes me grin. :)

I just love the polkas. They're so bouncy!

Mine would be "Polka Your Eyes Out," partially because it's on my favorite album, partially because I was familiar with the most songs on it when I frist heard it, and partially because I love the random drum solo in the middle of the song!
