I cannot wait to hear this. My sister knows Dave Smiley. I wish I could have called and asked about the Hot Shots song that we all seemed to have found out about. I also could have asked him about the Foofie Web Site. That would have surprised him. It was so hard not to go down the street and see if I could get a glimpse of anything. Glad Al was in Indy today and wish he would have made some kind of public appearance this pm. It was dark, cold and rainy so I hope he doesn't hold that against us compared to sunny CA. Smiley did not know any background and he was worried about this this am. His crew said "we will cover you Dave don't worry". He said he knew Al sang silly songs and that was about it. Thanks for recording this and at least I will eventually get to hear it. I did not realize others on here were from Indy as well. I wish I could have recorded it and contributed to this forum somehow. Next time right??!! It is great he got on the Smiley show. The morning mess show on the competition station should have him on as well but they are the very hip station that would likely see him as not in their listener market unfortunately.

Did he say "zeitgeist?" :P

OK, so these were genuinely clueless professional media guys who have a wonderful surprise in store for them if they ever get their professional media backsides over to an Al concert.

And a wonderful non-surprise for us is the broad hint that "Fat" will still be in the live show.

Well that sucks. I would have been mad too. Almost getting to talk to Al....

I have been suspended without pay until Friday. At least I didn't get fired.

I was sad. I was mad later, though.

I did get most of it recorded, I must have still had the tape recording when I left yesterday. It's a whole side of a tape, but it's not the whole interview. If no one posts a clip in a couple days I'll post what I have.

OOO i hope he comes to a radio station in cincinnati!! HE was on the radio for poodle hat and i dint know before hand my friend called me that morning cuz she had the station on and heard it. I taped it and i still have it but i think i missed most of it by the time i turned it on. When i turned it on it was in the middle on playing couch potato. Listening to that was also the first time i had heard that he had a kid. The radio ppl were like does she call you weird dad and he was like no not yet... and we know that at that time she was probably just born. I think i wana dig that up and listen to it again wheni get home
