I think it has to be the subtle innuendo they were alarmed about, not the violence. Otherwise, they would have objected to the fried pilots and the toasted Qui Gon Jinn and the attempted gassing and the... you get the idea.

I would think the term "hitting on" would fly over the kids heads, but I guess Disney was just trying to avoid parents having to explain what that means to their kids, so they could find it out from their friends instead.
I'm not making excuses for them. I'm just trying to figure out their reasoning.
