Let's break out the broccoli, beer, and Twinkie Wiener Sandwiches!
I can't play the accordion, just the piano, but I believe I will celebrate by not saying "accordingly" all month. To anyone. Just "accordionly".

holy polka, Batman!
The piano accordion is the official musical instrument of the city of San Francisco and has been since 1990.
I think it's a sign! The college Im looking at to get my Masters from is in San Francisco!
The great Frank Yankovic smiles upon me!

it's funny, just this week i decided that I want to learn to play the accordion, it must be the power of accordion awareness month
the only problem is, i need an accordion to learn how to play one, and it seems that they are very hard to come by here in Australia. eBay australia has very few decent cheap ones, and there aren't any stores near me that sell them, I'd have to travel into the city [an hour by train] to get one, and even then they'll be expensive, and I have no money
I'm planning on posting on a few of the local music forums to see if someone has one they don't want and will sell to me cheaply, or give to me for free...
i really want to learn, i love the sound/tone they give, but we'll see how it goes buying one

I'll have to teach myself too
I found someone selling an accordion for AUS$375, not sure what brand, but it's 72 bass, looks to be in great condition and has recently been serviced. The only problem is that they want to sell it by mid-july, I have to save the money myself, and they have someone else who's interested, who will have the money at the end of this month. I't highly unlikely I'll have the money ny then

Good luck with the accordion, Emily! I've also been teaching myself... If anyone's curious.

ive been on and off passively shopping for one... i dont want just a piece of junk, but i dont want to spend 10 paychecks for it either. and it cant weigh more than i do.... lol. im only 4'11''.
i play piano, so learning the accordion would be like a person from spain learning mexican spanish... ok maybe not.
it takes some getting used to, but its not completely, totally different.
