Everyone's career has a timeframe, some people just don't understand that. They think they'll be popular forever and when they're not, they think that something must be wrong.

I don't believe there is a curse--there are plenty of one-hit wonders from the 80s who Al has NOT parodied who nobody remembers anymore.

And if you've ever tried to collect every song that Al has parodied by buying 80s compilation albums (as I have...yes, I actually have EVERY single song Al has parodied!) you'd know just how true that statement is.Genius in Maine @ Apr 25 2004, 08:37 PM wrote: I don't believe there is a curse--there are plenty of one-hit wonders from the 80s who Al has NOT parodied who nobody remembers anymore.

I know what you mean--I'm buying a ton of songs he parodied at iTunes. They have a lot of them, but they're missing some. Does anyone know where I can find "Ruthless People"? Has anyone even heard the original???
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

Well, the only place I've ever heard that song is when the movie came on tv. Mick Jagger sings the original. It's nothing to write home about. The movie stars Bette Midler and Danny DeVito, btw.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!
